Rap-Up.com || André 3000 Calls Beyoncé ‘One of the Best Performers’

Beyoncé has always remained humble, but her collaborators are singing her praises. André 3000 and Babyface share what it was like to work with the singing superstar.

“I’ve always felt Beyoncé was one of the best performers of our time, so to collaborate with her was an honor and a pleasure,” said the reclusive OutKast member, who appears on the Kanye West-produced “Party” off B’s upcoming album 4.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Babyface, who contributed to 4‘s second single “Best Thing I Never Had,” also complimented the pop star. “What is the definition of perfection…or the closest thing to it? Beyoncé,” he gushed. “Icons are made. Stars are born. From the moment Beyoncé took her first breath, her star was shining. What an honor it is for me to say that I danced with a true star. Or wrote. Same thing.”

The “Run the World (Girls)” singer spoke about the progression in her new music, due June 28. “The album is definitely an evolution. It’s bolder than the music on my previous albums because I’m bolder,” she stated. “The more mature I become and the more life experiences I have, the more I have to talk about. I really focused on songs being classics, songs that would last, songs that I could sing when I’m 40 and when I’m 60.”

British journalist Piers Morgan will sit down with Beyoncé in London for an exclusive hour-long interview, airing June 27 on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.”

The only person I can think off right now that comes close to doing what Beyonce does on stage is maybe Gaga but even she cant compete because Beyonce COMMANDS the stage and our attention. If you strip Gaga’s extravagent set and costumes and weirdness it wouldnt be like that.

So yes, Beyonce IS the best.

I love what I’ve heard so far from the new album and speaking of her performances, I am so excited to see her bring some of these songs to life on stage. “I Care” and “Love On Top” sound great on record, but I can soooooo see her giving unbelievable performances of those songs. Seriously, when u outright go on youtube and look for sh*t to copy and then try and pass if off as your own and then turn around and accept awards for it then you’re not a true artist. Bob Fosse created that dance number that beYAWNcy copied for Single Ladies. Then she just recently stole Italian Singer Lorella Cuccarini 2010 Performance for her Billboard Awards Performance. I guess she figured since she went to an old video of Bob Fosse’s for stealing his choreography no one would find out. So she decides to go with an Italian Singer and figured noone would figure that out either. The b*tch may be able to get on stage and dance like a pole dancing whore, and people call it real dancing, but she’s not fooling me one bit. The sad thing about it is, people are accepting of this, accepting of the mediocre music she puts out, the gyrating and degrading stripper moves she does on stage, the stealing, but I guess it’s the time and era we live in, when true talent was Gladys Knight, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Tina Turner, Natalie Cole, Phyllis Hyman, Ledisi, Chrissette Michele, Adele and others who didn’t have to steal other peoples choreography or song credits. Janet Jackson though she never claimed to be a powerhouse singer, could carry a tune, mix music, and do her own background vocals as well as perform…and who’s to say that she couldn’t blow out a song to the top of her lungs, she never had to, to prove a point. The Late Aalyah, also a triple threat like Janet, never had to copy or steal writing credits or choreography. So what exactly has beYAWNcy done that is so extraordinary. Musically, she’s mediocre, her cd’s aren’t masterpieces that can be consider nastalgic years from now, and why would they be it’s all fad music, music to make a quick buck and that’s what she’s about. I can honestly say that Rhianna impresses me more because her music is very mature for her age, whereas beYAWNcy who claims to be 29 years old stays in this box of acting like she’s a child when a woman her age, I give her 33 years or older should be more of the status quo. I don’t get it, that’s why like beYAWNcy, I stay on youtube, but in my case I listen to music that created the foundation for this mess that’s on the radio now. I will say that Beyoncé has a lot of say in what happens in her career, she’s not a rookie anymore, but her team of choreographers, stylists and the ones who help her come up with ideas for her performances are the ones to blame. They pitch the ideas to her and Beyoncé has the final say if it’s happening or not. People are just so easy to pass their judgement, off of things that have a simple explenation. Fact is, Beyoncé is an extraordinary performance, and even if that Billboard shit has been done before, she executed it fiercely like no one else can. That’s why she gets the credit she deserves.

She’s not original at all to me either and it seems like the same old moves and aggressiveness she gives off. I do however agree that there are so many other great singers who don’t get the credit they deserve. I love Adele and Chrissette Michelle, and Also Taylor Swift as well as Ledisi, I think they are so extraordinary and put so much feeling into their music and choice of songs. I for one won’t be spending any money on 4, as a matter of fact I think I just own her b-day cd.

Beyonce is indeed one of the greatest artist ever! I’ve heard most of her new album 4 and to me it’s her best work. It’s her most original and unique album to date. The songwriting, the production and her voice and superb. I think I would have to say that this is the best I’ve ever heard her sound. She sounds so much more passionate, expressive and real. I get chills listening to the album. “Miss You” is sooo beautiful!
