Beyoncé channels Prince on the funky “Schoolin’ Life,” one of three additional songs included on the deluxe edition of her new album 4, available June 28 exclusively at Target. Written and produced by The-Dream, Professor B teaches a lesson about life on the ’80s-inspired beat. Class is in session.

HA I like this! The production has a 80′s or early 90′s kinda sound. I’ve heard the entire album and I love it! Beyonce has really mature a lot on this project. There’s so many different sounds she used. From the production and songwriting to the background arrangement to the way she’s singing. B Day was always my favorite, but 4 just kills it! She’s reminding me why I’ve been listening to her since Destiny’s Child first LP which is my favorite of theirs. Great job Beyonce this was worth the wait. Getting my copy Tuesday.

I love Beyonce, but all her new music is sub-par. I understand the transition into a new style and sound, but her voice is better suited for the r&b/pop scene. Thats why 1+1 works, as well as “Best Thing I Never Had” This sounds like a bad cover of an old Prince song. Hopefully her other songs sound better

Love the song but dont be fooled by the good vibes of the 80′s sounds shes offering theres only three songs that have that vibe on the album this song is included thats it. the rest are burried in piano laced ballads and techno dance infused beats. I mean the lyrics are like the rest of her work extrodinary but the beats are starting to lose there luster except for the very few like this one here…..that aside her album was really good just tooooo slow wish she had more like this one on the album 3 was tooo few

I don’t understand how people R goin in on each other over people that aren’t their bills…. (kanye shrugg) I’ve been a fan of Ms. Knowles since Day 1 BUT she’s not gonna hit EVERYTIME. She’s a gr8 talent so no matter what she does she’s still gonna be that bitch! Can’t wait till the concert.
