Terrence J, Tiffany Green, and Rocsi Diaz

The most talked about moment at the BET Awards wasn’t a performance. Instead it occurred when superfan Tiffany Greene presented the Viewers’ Choice Award with Terrence and Rocsi. She read off the tablet, announcing the winner as Chris Brown, but the teleprompter said Rihanna and Drake were the winners for “What’s My Name?” Drake accepted the award, saying, “Well that was awkward.”

After the embarrassing mixup, host Kevin Hart brought Chris on stage at the end of the show and announced that he was indeed the winner.

“Bawling backstage. They totally fu**ed me up,” wrote Tiffany after being bombarded by angry fans.

BET programming executive Stephen Hill admitted the error was BET’s fault. “That BET Awards Viewer’s Choice mix-up was due to human error,” he tweeted. “And I was the human that made that error. I apologize to ALL affected.”

1. her song was ready to play once they announced her name and
2. Drake was already backstage ready to go on stage to pick up the award.

If she didn’t win it then LAMN would’ve played and Drake wouldn’t be ready on the stage.

Actually if u rewind it and play really close attention you’ll see that Chris was the one waiting backstage to pick up the award wearing the same gray hoodie and on the same bike he came out in at the end and drake came running out around him after the song started to play looking all confused. I know what u mean about the song being ready to play but Chris was actually the one ready to accept the award. Everyone rewind it and you’ll see its pretty clear.

I know Tiffany and I knew immediately that BET made a mistake!!!! She read the ipad, then the tele-a-promoter said something different. She looked mad confused. I’m glad Stephen Hill accepted responsibility for the mistake.
