Cee Lo Green Announces Las Vegas Residency
Cee Lo Green rounded out the week with a white-hot performance on the “Today” show concert series. The judge of NBC’s “The Voice” filled New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza with his soulful sounds and made a major announcement.
The flashy performer will join the ranks of Celine Dion and Cher by taking residency in Las Vegas with his very own show called Loberace. “Loberace it is. I wanted to do something new and fresh for this generation,” said Cee Lo, who paid homage to the flamboyant entertainer Liberace in the video for “I Want You (Hold on to Love).” “I don’t think anybody from my generation has got the opportunity to do something monumental like that, so I would like to do something exceptional. The way that I feel about myself and the way that my career’s going, it makes sense.”
Watch him reveal the big news and perform “Forget You,” “Bright Lights Bigger City,” and a mashup of “Crazy” with Moby’s “Natural Blues.”
