Rap-Up.com || Jay-Z and Kanye West Host Star-Studded Listening for ‘Watch the Throne’

After nearly a year in the making, Jay-Z and Kanye West presented their historic album Watch the Throne to friends and industry tastemakers at a private listening session at the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Monday night.

The rap kings showed no signs of their rumored feud as they previewed tracks off the album, a week before its iTunes release.

The star-studded evening drew the likes of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Q-Tip, Solange, Busta Rhymes, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and more.

I’mma need Bey to do more promo for 4 and stop following round Jay everywhere. I dont know how I’m feelin about this low key Beyonce this era, it’s great she doesn’t want to be over exposed but I feel like she could be out there more : / Mathew Knowles would never….

Oh GTFO I can’t have an opinion? I’m a Bey stan but I’m not friggen crazy obsessed like others and agree with every single thing she does. I PERSONALLY want to see more of her on tv promoting this album. I shouldnt be able to count the U.S. promo Bey has done for this entire album on 2 hands. Billboard music awards, american idol, good morning america, access hollywood, the view and jimmy fallon. And this is only my second comment…. I cannot with some of you Bey stans….

@V…..that’s exactly it, she’s playing low key. It’d be nice to see beyonce acting famous if she had a groundbreaking album, but 4 is not “Thriller”, or “Born This Way”, or “miseducation” or “Back to Black”, or “Purple Rain”…..id like to see her overexposed w/ sum material out at those levels….

@lost1wons, Hunny if Born This Way is in that list, 4 should be too. BTW is NOT that great. The Fame Monster was by far a better album and all her fans agree. 4 is an amazing album. Definitely one of her best.

@Bran.D, besides meme being a riri stan, she has a point. beyonce has only sold 1 million records world wide not in the US and people keep saying that she went platinum. but to be platinum she has to sell 1 million in the US alone so she hasn’t gone platinum yet, she will eventually but not yet. im not hating just telling you the facts.
