Album Cover: The-Dream – ‘Terius Nash Est. 1977’

Terius Nash Est. 1977

The-Dream goes back in time with the bronze cover of his free Internet LP Terius Nash Est. 1977. The biblical artwork borrows from Lorenzo Ghiberti’s Adam and Eve Panel depicting the stories of Adam and Eve, Jacob and Esau, and David and Goliath.

The 10-track download, which will precede the singer-songwriter’s fourth album The Love, IV: Diary of a Madman, will be available by the end of the month featuring the single “Form of Flattery.”

“[It's] very personal and to my fans!” tweeted Dream of the project.

What do you think of the artwork?

I can’t with the comments already, this looks nothing like Watch the Throne cover. It’s not even the same color! I doubt the music will mainly focus on the cover but who knows.

Anyway I’m excited about this and I hope this album great!

yeah, it’s not exactly the same as wtt but it’s using the theme.. gives you the same feeling as watch the throne, i personally even think it might be a better album cover then watch the throne, but the dream is a herb and this is a total rip off. I would call him a swagger jacker for this one….

Hey, stop hating on The-Dream!! If you haters knew anything this cover was influenced by his deceased mother! Shame on all of you, none of you can except the fact that The-Dream has and always will pen hits for your favorite artists! Terius Nash cares about his fans and stays true to music!!

He is not trying to copy The Throne, he said on twitter that the cover was inspired by his mother Reva Nash who is dead. Apparently she was religious, yall should be ashamed for criticizing. So I guess if he took a cue from Tyler the Creator and made a satanic cover, that would be fine?

it just shows u how people are quick to forget originality..
you’re right do judge a book by its cover, but really tho!
as a fan i look at it as he’s not thinking outside his space, he’s running with some 1 else’s idea.. thats not cool

While there may be a personal message behind the story of this cover, like @Ice had said, I still think this cover is just eh. I’m not even checking for the fact that it is similar to the Watch The Throne TBH, I just don’t think it’s a nice cover at all. And plus most of The-Dream’s music is related to or about sex. Don’t you all think it would be weird if he has a sex song on here with a cover like this? xD

Why is the cover of biblical stories, did they take place in 1977? no, lol I don’t get it

this is stupid the dream is not at that level where he can use something like this. He needs to go back into the studio and …do something. He needs to change his album cover. This is something jay z / kanye historical, classical swag. something the dream doesn’t have.

I can see how this album cover can relate to his mother. I see angels and this album cover is holy. It makes him think of the better place his mother is in. Now that the album is released I now know that the song entitled “1977 I Miss You” is for his mother. 1977 the year his mother gave birth to him. I love this album cover and what it represents to him. HE IS THE BEST!!! P.S. This does not look like wtt at all
