Rap-Up.com || Taylor Swift Covers TLC, Eminem, & Mya [Video]

Taylor Swift pulled into Philadelphia last night for the latest stop on her “Speak Now” tour, surprising fans with another cover song. The country crooner performed an acoustic version of TLC’s 1999 hit “Unpretty,” which was released when she was just 10 years old. In addition, she took on hometown hero Pink’s “Who Knew” while strumming the guitar.

During previous shows, the 21-year-old singer has covered Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” and Pras, Mya, and ODB’s hip-hop classic “Ghetto Supastar,” calling it her “seventh grade anthem.”

@Hannibal, she covers artists from each respective city she plays in. When she first started touring in 2007, she used to also rap Eminem and she has always listened to hip-hop/r&b artists; she warms up to them before her shows.

She is so adorable! You can see that she’s having fun! Loved it! Taylor knows how to connect to an audience! Lol, when your fave can go from playing small shows to a stadium/arena tour and play in front of 55000 people in one night, then you can talk.

I think taylor is a great songwriter, but she is very repetetive, and only writes about boys and relationships. she’s one-dimensional. Her covers are cute, but not respectable. There’s a reason she sold 1 million copies the first week Speak Now was released. She’s relatable.
