Nicki Minaj will make her foray into Hollywood by lending one of her many voices to the 3D animated film Ice Age: Continental Drift alongside Jennifer Lopez, Queen Latifah, and Drake. In a new interview with MTV News, the rap diva explained how she landed the voice-over gig.

“The original role that I was up for I didn’t get,” she said in her British accent. “So I said, ‘Oh, OK, whatever.’ I was really mad, and the next thing you know, they called me and they said, ‘We wrote in a part just for you ’cause we really want you to be a part of this movie.'”

Minaj recorded two voices and left it up to the producers to decide which they preferred. “I just was screaming and so excited, and I went in and I had a blast. I did it as two different voices,” she added. “We’ll see what happens.”
