Behind the Scenes of Beyoncé’s Roseland Ballroom Shows [Part 1]

Beyoncé

Beyoncé’s crew gives you a backstage pass inside the planning for her intimate “4 Nights with Beyoncé” shows at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. The first part of the behind-the-scenes footage features commentary from the production manager, lighting designer, musical director, and one very brief cameo from the superstar herself (blink and you’ll miss it).

“She’s listening to her inner voice right now and doing what she wants to do,” says B’s lead guitarist Bibi. “I think she took risks. I think she’s being more authentic and doing what she wants to do instead of doing what people expect, which is good.”

I agree with her guitarist Bibi. I feel like this is Beyonce’s most authentic album and what better what to showcase that than perform intimate shows at a smaller venue. But at the same time, Queen B and her label better do a full swing arena tour and announce those dates soon! I need to see her live this time around. I bet this will be her best tour yet!!!

@BEYONCE HATER, Lmaao You’re the Keri Hilson stan, right? You changed your name because you were ashamed being a Keri stan and say that Bey is a flop because Keri is more than a flop artist :) Don’t waste your time with your stupid comment! If you are a Beyonce hater don’t read the posts about her. If I were you I’d have avoided her and not to act like a stupid hater with no life…

I am not a hater, just a realist. Buut…where is the depth in her songs? I read her lyrics, and it’s all about:

    -Money
    -Jay-z
    -Jay-z
    -Jay-z
    -Sex
    -Shape of her body
    -Her glory
    -Power

What about songs involving real life? Substance? Depth? The reality of life, something more than just herself?? Something that could move you in your soul? The melodies are well paid for, yes. The lyrics are bought, yes. But nothing more…it’s just entertainment! Now Adele, she is soul moving and REAL!!

    @perhaps, 1+1 is about love . She’s in love .
I Care is letting someone know she cares .
I Miss You is an empowering song to let people know it’s okay to let out how you feel .
    BTINH is a f u to an ex .
Party is about having a good time & dancing .
Start Over is a song in which you want to take things back & make them like how they used to be .
    Shall I go on ?
She’s singing about LOVE LOVE LOVE .

@aydin, Do you even wonder why I said that? Can you think a little deeper? I said there should be DEPTH to her LYRICS. Jay is saying she has the capacity to be the next MJ. MJ had DEPTH to his LYRICS. Some were more pop, while other songs made you think and feel ALL at the same time. I like to not be droned into singing the same lyrics all day that really have no true meaning, or nothing to do with reality. I also am tired of hearing her sing about sex with Jay-z, how the publicity and money “turns her on”. No no no, its so SICK.

    Humm Reply:

@Nodepth, Who tells you that her lyrics are about Jay-Z? Her songs are just about love ! It’s not because she’s married that that means the songs are for him! . What exactly do you want her to sing about? Negative things and not about positive things? She shows maturity in her lyrics! Do you think that “Best Thing I Never Had, “Start Over”, “I Care”, “End of Time”, “I Was Here” (etc…) are for Jay-Z? If you are tired of her, Well, Don’t listen to her songs!

@Nodepth, So love has no depth to it, trust if people couldn’t relate to her music, she wouldn’t still be around, I was here? Even Schoolin’ Life a fun take on life, pleaase don’t speak unless spoken to because some dumb stuff comes out the side of your neck.

@mon, Yet here you are, sat at home on your computer, reading blogs about her. In my opinion, she is underrated. She doesn’t get enough credit for some of the things she does and a lot of people don’t realise how amazing she is as an entertainer.

@Aydin I simply asked for more depth in her lyrics and the message that is relayed through her music. Not a newspaper article on the DOW. Sad attempt at humor on your part.

I agree that this album is her best; lyrically, vocally and production-wise. I was one of those, who while not hating her, always asked for a little more depth from Beyonce. She’s not getting younger, so the fluff she once did at Rihanna’s and Katy Perry’s age would sound silly coming from a grown-ass, married woman. I guess someone sat her down and said this to her, because this album really delivered. Even though “Girls” sounds like the old Beyonce, (and it’s up for debate whether it’s a bad or terrible song) I like the fact that there was no gimmick to the rest of the album, like say the half-decent, half-terrible “I Am… Sasha Fierce.” And even if she wasn’t singing about HER personal emotions and feelings on some of the songs, who the hell cares? Her vocals alone on “I Care” makes you connect. Really wish I could have seen one of these intimate concerts, only heard great things.
