Lil Wayne gets in touch with his sensitive side in his most heartfelt video yet for “How to Love,” the third single off Tha Carter IV, dropping August 29. The storyline-driven clip follows a woman who endured a troubled childhood, which led her to stripping, prostitution, and eventually contracting HIV. Weezy plays narrator to her struggles, while showing what could have been if she had not been dealt such a bad hand. Follow the emotional journey.

i love the video but y cant he ever use a darker skinned girl in his videos..and the kid r always mixed…i dont have a problem with biracial ppl but its like..damn do u hate ur race that much? besides that..weezy is a beast and the video was amazing and it will be a hit! :)

let it be known: there are PLENTLY of studies that show that MOST of the women/men who are involved in the sex industry have been victims of sexual abuse……. & if he REALLY believed what this video was showing he wouldn’t support strippers by going to the strip club and giving them money. Broken women turn to that type of job b|c men like him provide an incentive. If there was no incentive, there wouldn’t be a bunch of broken women disrespecting not only themselves, but disrespecting God too :(
it’s really sad. . . never ending cycle.

The last line was not bad at all. The first half she seen her mom in a bad relationship so she thought that was how it was suppose to be, then the secound half she seen her mom married for love with lead her on a better path. Corny yes but it did fit.

oh my gosh this video is so sad and the concept is making me cry. do some off yall know that some kids have to go through that stuff and they turn their life around because of what actions their parents took? its just so sad. some people have to go through that and end up like that too. if you guys are laughing at the video and picking at it you shouldnt be because that actually happens in real life and its not okay. this shows weezy’s serious side and i love it #TeamWeezy #TeamTunechi forever :)

Nice to see him tackle something deeper than the usual. I can’t bare to listen to the song, it’s too repetetive and simple for my liking. The concept was alright, though.
They could’ve left that last line out, where the girl thanked her friend for having her back and ‘teaching her how to love’. I thought that was a little corny.
