Pharrell Journeys to Japan in ‘Tokyo Rising’ Documentary [Video]

Pharrell was in the Big Apple to premiere his documentary Tokyo Rising, a collaboration with boot manufacturer Palladium. In the five-part web series, the creative genius ventures to his second home of Japan following the devastating earthquake that struck on 3/11. Skateboard P speaks with his friends about the aftermath while exploring the city that has provided him with so much inspiration. “I’m still in awe of the people carrying on here,” he said.     I didn’t know Pharell did this, that’s cool to know.. Although the people like nicki minaj or lady gaga like Tokyo and Japan because it’s “trendy” and fashionable for many teens (their main public), so they just follow the trend, this has nothing to do with feeling and loving Japan like people like me, do.
