« First Look at Kelly Rowland’s ‘Lay It on Me’ Video with Big SeanVideo: Skylar Grey – ‘Invisible’ »Single Cover: Jay-Z x Kanye West – ‘Ni**as in Paris’![]() Jay-Z and Kanye West rep for the red, white, and blue on the official cover of “Ni**as in Paris,” the next single off Watch the Throne. The dynamic duo continues the patriotic theme found on their “Otis” artwork. Hit-Boy produced the beat in New York and Jay and Kanye laid their verses in the City of Light. “The energy of the track, I feel like as soon as you hear it, it’s one of those joints and I always felt that from day one,” the 24-year-old beatmaker told Rap-Up TV. “I actually did ‘Christmas in Harlem’ for Kanye West too and that was our first musical collaboration. After that, he just flew me out to work and we were working on a bunch of stuff. It wasn’t for any particular project, and that was one of the joints that came up. It ended up turning into what it is.” TweetYou can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 45 CommentsLeave a Reply

Au vu des critiques avant que sorte l’album, je m’attendais à beaucoup mieux. Finalement, ça passe mais ce n’est pas la bombe espérée.
Quant à la cover, elle est sobre ; rien de plus à dire dessus.

@hola!, So you’d prefer a lukewarm Carter IV. This LP is jus diff. you can’t compare the production on C4 to this. I ain’t one of those folks callin’ WTT a classic but it’s a good album maybe even better than C4
[Reply]
September 8th, 2011 at 1:37 pm
Can them n**as get some love danm! hating is a trend these days. C4 is trash I don’t know why people thinking that it’s a good album. Corny lines after corny lines.

I believe Kanye West, and Jay-Z’s Ni***s in Paris is the best song off their album Watch The Throne. I believe the song is a hit for them. I don’t get why people are comparing Watch The Throne to Tha Carter IV. Watch The Throne is a collaboration album and Tha Carter IV is a solo album. There are hardcore Lil Wayne fans saying Tha Carter IV is better than Watch The Throne just because Tha Carter IV sold more records, or because they hate Kanye West and Jay-Z, or because the hardcore fans stan too hard for Lil Wayne. Record sales don’t mean shit if you have an album that is not a classic. Watch The Throne got better critical review than Tha Carter IV, even though it’s a collaboration album. Young music fans, biased mainstream pop fans, and biased mainstream hip hop fans believes Lil Wayne is the greatest rapper alive. If you ask most music fans who are unbiased, and don’t judge people on their personalties or age, they will tell you that Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Eminem are ahead of Lil Wayne when it comes to cultural impact, and making great music over the years.

Kanye West has made two classic hip hop albums in College Dropout, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Both of those albums are considered classic by all critics and fans. Both of those albums are better than any Lil Wayne album you can think of. Jay-Z made four classic hip hop albums in Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, The Black Album, and the underrated American Gangster. Eminem made a classic album in Marshall Mathers LP which better than Lil Wayne’s entire list of albums. Kanye West has 14 Grammy Awards, Jay-Z has won 13 Grammy Awards, and Eminem has won 13 Grammy Awards. Jay-Z makes more money than anyone in Young Money/Cash Money. Eminem is the greatest platinum selling rapper in hip hop history, as far a record sales goes. So hardcore, biased Lil Wayne fans can hate and say stupid things all they want, but Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Eminem have all ways been ahead of Lil Wayne in music business when comes to achievements and cultural impact. Watch The Throne is certified gold, and almost platinum, not bad for two so-called washed up rappers, LOL at the haters.

@TRA, you’re wrong on eminem. Jay-Z is actually the greatest platinum selling rapper in hip hop history. Eminem is a close second. Em is like one album off from tying Jay-Z but as multi-platinum it’s like a tie

This is one of the worst songs on the album but it’s mainstream so that’s probably why they’re making it a single.
I personally would’ve preferred Murder to Excellence or New Day but whatev.

They should’ve put “Made In America” as a Single. better than Lift Off IMO
[Reply]
September 8th, 2011 at 3:44 pm
If you look at Billboard Charts Yung Reezy, Eminem has sold more hip hop records worldwide than any rapper including Jay-Z, but I agree with you that Made In America should be released as a single in the future.
