Usher, Drake, Pharrell, & Solange Celebrate Fashion's Night Out
From Los Angeles to London and Milan to Manhattan, the stars aligned with fashion’s top designers at the third annual Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday (Sept. 8). The worldwide celebration, which coincided with the launch of New York Fashion Week, featured appearances and performances from some of the biggest names in showbiz. The fashion parade traveled from store to store, mingling with guests as they partook in after-hours shopping. Among the celebrity sightings…
• Usher joked around with his protégé Justin Bieber at the Dolce & Gabbana boutique. The teen heartthrob and his mother met Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who organized the festivities. He signed enough D&G T-shirts at $195 each to raise money to build a school for his Pencils of Promise charity.
• Over at the Versace store, Drake played DJ for the chic crowd and got a visit from his Young Money sister Nicki Minaj, whose army of Barbz were no match for security.
• Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator couldn’t look happier as he took a seat beside his idol Pharrell at the Billionaire Boys Club store.
• Fashionista Estelle caught up with her friends Selita Ebanks, Big Sean, and Maxwell at Diane von Furstenberg, where she performed her single “Break My Heart.”
• Mary J. Blige held court with stylist Rachel Zoe at the Intermix affair.
• Fresh off her European getaway with her boyfriend, Solange worked the turntables at the Lord & Taylor event.
• Robin Thicke provided the smooth soundtrack at The Darby restaurant for VEVO’s Music Meets Fashion show, while Ne-Yo entertained and signed hats at Saks Fifth Avenue.
