Rap-Up.com || Solange Hits the Studio with Pharrell

Solange reunited with Pharrell to cook up another batch of songs. The two were working on the singer’s third album, which is said to have a dance, new wave-inspired sound. The Neptunes hitmaker played the keys and vibed with the younger Knowles on the couch during their recent recording sessions.

They have collaborated several times in the past including Solange’s 2003 debut Solo Star and most notably on “I Decided” off 2008’s Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams.

“So excited my album is shaping up so well!” tweeted Solange. “My sessions here with Pharell have been amazing.”

Solange and Beyonce are besutiful creations of music ! I enjoy both of their music…they’re definitely two different beings and it reflects within their music. Can’t wait to hear more from Solange and congrats on being an Aunt !

She done changed her album direction so many times. 1st it was supposed to be dark, then it was like old school R&B inspired by 90′s R&B & or Destiny’s child, now it’s dance, new-wave. Wth?! Solo, I love you, but I prefer the more R&B or Dark sound, that’s more “creative” & intersting to me. But, do you solo. I’m still gonna support you.

@JG, when you’re raised in a certain environment its likely for one to acclimate to it. If your parents and siblings are all lawyers you’ll probably grow up following a similar path. college etc. how dare to pass judgment on solange for growing a familial interest in music and pursuing it. who the fuck are you and what have you done with your fucking life. what did your dead beat parents do with their fcking lives and what did your loser siblings do with theirs. This girl grew up in a good successful family and is doing what she knows. which is probably more than anyone in your blogging ass loser family can say.

I’m really interested in hearing what Solange is cooking up this time around. “Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams” was a great album. I STILL play it from beginning to end all the time. I just know the lyrics and story telling will be great bc Solange wrote her butt off on “Hadley” but I just wonder what it will sound like…I’m glad she’s working with Pharrell again! What is this? A Pharrell joint on EVERY album, Ms. Knowles? Lol. I quite enjoyed “I Decided” so let’s what happens this time…
