Ne-Yo Sings the National Anthem on 9/11 Anniversary [Video]

Ne-Yo

Ne-Yo showed his stars and stripes, performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Giants vs. Redskins game in Landover, Maryland. With his fedora placed over his heart, the R&B gentleman paid tribute to those who were killed ten years ago in the terrorist attacks on 9/11 with his heartfelt rendition. By the time he was done, sweat was dripping down his forehead.

He retired to the owner’s booth to enjoy the game alongside former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell. “How many R&B artist YOU know watch the game from the owner’s booth? ………just checkin’ #bossin!!” he tweeted.

@KC, I wish that every person like you could be put on display with your flaws front and center. Only then will you know how delusional you are about the image you see looking back at you in the mirror. News flash…WE ALL ARE FLAWED! Ne-Yo’s performance was excellent and accented the phenomenal display of patriotism going on in the background. And here you are, front and center about a hat. Talk about shallow…SMH! Oh and before you come back with your well thought out response, just know that you still are an idiot.

@5vestar, Ne-Yo said it himself. He doesn’t look his best without the headwear. + I hate it how people think they can sing the NAtional Anthem, because they have a career in music. It’s just not made for everybody!!!

Neyo has a wonderful voice no doubt about it and I love to hear him sing but he was too safe with this rendition of the NA. It was borderline boring but it takes nothing away from what we know he can do. I will never forget his performance at the BET awards 09 when he sang MJ’s ‘Lady In My Life’ this delivery was flawless and it completely moved me and def was one of the few highlight of that catastrophie of a awards/tribute show.
