Cassie Showcases New Look, Talks New Music on ’106 & Park’

Cassie filled in for Rocsi by co-hosting “106 & Park” alongside Terrence J yesterday. With her parents and brother in the audience, the model-turned-singer split on-air duties with a flirty Terrence and chatted about her new material, including her two mixtape tracks “Radio” and “Make You a Believer.” She also revealed that her sophomore album would arrive in early 2012, with the first single “King of Hearts” set to premiere by the end of October.

“I don’t want to call it dance ’cause it’s not dance, but it has a dance vibe if you want to say that,” explained Cassie of “Hearts.” “If we were in this room playing it right now, everybody would just be hanging from the lights.”

While she may be criticized for her vocal abilities, she’s determined to improve. “[I've been] working with vocal coaches, working really, really, really hard ’cause this is really important to me and I have a lot of great records that I’m excited for everyone to hear.”

The Bad Girl debuted a new look to go along with her new music, rocking blonde highlights and an asymmetrical haircut paired with leather pants, a midriff-baring top, and a gold Jesus piece.

You can catch Cassie resuming her hosting gig on today’s show.

Lil Twist Cuts His Mohawk During Ustream Session

Lil Twist

Young girls across the country are shedding a tear. Lil Twist’s Mohawk is no more. Young Money’s teen idol cut part of his trademark hair during a live Ustream session with his fans.

“I’m getting rid of this Mohawk. The Mohawk is like six years old. It’s been having so much swag for so many years, but now it’s time to switch it up,” said the 18-year-old rapper before his barber brought out the clippers.

He called his mother and comforted his fans by saying, “Don’t cry you guys. I love you. It can always grow back.”

The Mohawk garnered special attention from BeyoncĂ©, who once told Twist, “I love your Mohawk.”

Twist’s manager Cortez and singer Khalil were there to witness the moment as he collected the hair off the floor. Don’t be surprised if you see it up for auction on eBay next week.
