With her LOUD single “Cheers (Drink to That)” moving up the charts, Rihanna shows no signs of slowing down. RiRi reloads with “We Found Love,” the first single off her sixth album in six years, due November 21. “We found love in a hopeless place,” sings the pop diva over the electro-house beat produced by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. Try to keep up.

@W, Rihanna does write her own songs, most of the songs her friends write. All the songs off of reated R were songs she wrote by herself. So stfu since you don’t know what your talking about!
I can’t lie.. this will go off N the club. I can hear bumping N every gay club!! I was really looking forward to a lil more Rated r this era. But I guess loud Is not over yet!! The beat bumps!!!
SHE IS GIVING ME A NEW KELIS IS THIS THE WAY SHE WANNA GO IF SHE WANT THESE CLUB BANGERS I JUST WANT HER TO SOUND THE WAY WE HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THAT BAJAN VOICE THATS WAHT MAKES HER DIFFERENT FROM ANYONE ELSE ITS A CLUB SONG ITS NOT SOMETHING THAT I WILL SAY ITS MUSIC FROM THE RIHANNA I FELL IN LOVE WITH MAYBE SHE JUST WANT TO BREAK A RECORD OF #1 HITS NOW THAT HER PAL KATY PERRY ACHIEVED SOMETHING SIMILAR TO MJ WE WILL DOWNLOAD THE SONG FOR FREE AND LISTEN WHEN YOU ARE IN THE MOOD FOR A FIST PUMP
@Maxwell, A new KeLis? You don’t make any sense. First of all, Tihanns could never be amazing as Kelis! 2nd of all, Kelis worked with Calvin Harris first earlier this year with “Bounce” and shits all over this wack crap Rihanna trying to do.
@Music Lover, Yep. I agree. I am so disappointed. This is the same generic electro-pop bs that is on the radio now and sounds like it could be a bonus cut from LOUD. I don’t know why Rihanna chooses to follow trends. She’s a well-established artist now. Guess she and Def Jam are more concerned with #1 singles and record sales than actual artistry. Rated R was the album she actually took a risk on, and I wish she would go back to that and explore it more. I’m tired of the fast-food cookie cutter music. It’s the production that makes this song. It should be Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna. Sorry stans! Love Rih’s music for the most part but not feeling this.
If a other artist would sing this crap song this neve rwould be a hit but it’s sinnging Rihanna so the kids will listen it and we will see it again in the crap charts
I love rihanna but for real..enough with dance tracks already… She should do more stuff like on her 1st 3 albums. Especially Good Girl Gone Bad. It’s not awful, it’s ok BUT definately not single worthy at all.
WTF is this? Six albums in six years? NO one has EVER done this…please take a break! People talk about Beyonce being overexposed…at least she knows when to rest. Rihanna is the only artist to release albums every year for the past six years in a roll. “Loud” was a great album and at least another single could’ve been released from there! “Cheers” is an awesome song! WHY mess that up with releasing this crap?!
@willnomnoms Reply: September 22nd, 2011 at 9:28 am
@Jay, except beyonce says she is gonna go on a “break” but actually doesn’t. she is everywhere with a new random song or new random video or promoting ugly clothes. rihanna never said she was gonna take a break just keep purging music.
@willnomnoms Reply: September 22nd, 2011 at 9:21 pm
@Real Issh, nah not stalking i just like music and follow the industry. and no there’s a difference between being and not having an album. she was still around doing things. she never actually took a break. i like beyonce’s music but i don’t necessarily like her persona. i just don’t respect her as an artist because she is a plagiarist who lies about writing songs. as a writer, albeit not a known or published one, i know how difficult it is to come up with the best line or perfect imagery or right break and the fact that she steals royalties just gets to me. i loved 4 and i thought it was most def her best album mostly because of a few songs i thought were amazing, and end of time which was brilliant.
It’s not the worst I’ve ever heard, but I think this is where I draw the line… I’m no longer part of the Navy. “LOUD” had me disappointed, but this is just not my thing.
Rihanna is a global artist and this is a global song. Eurpoeans are going to EAT this song up as well as the United States. All the BIG money is overseas Rihanna getting those Euros something a lot of these cats that are hating will never see in there lifetime. Well that sucks.
@Will, I pay with euros everyday. I live in Holland, you’re right… Europe will eat this up. One of the things that I hate about living here, they have NO taste in music.
There’s no longer a market for true urban music. There’s money to be made, so if that means selling out and making played-out songs like this, then that’s what’s happening.
But to say that this is slaying, legendary or great? No. It’s very, very generic.
Ewww. Euro techno, Rihanna you suppose to went in a different direction, this is like an extended version. But this song sounds like I’m going to hear it in a mall when I walk into of them stores.
nigga is you srs Reply: September 22nd, 2011 at 10:24 am
@BeyoncesBoo, lmao and beyonce isn’t..rihanna is more adventurous when it comes to music compare to beyonce. your comment is more suited for beyonce…but i guess when you talk out of your ass, shit must come out :]
@nigga is you srs, How is this adventurous, Euro-techno is running the charts, Beyonce went in the opposite direction, Run the World, sound diff, end of time sound diff, countdown sound diff, love on top is so 70′s whose doing that now?
@KillBill, that’s exactly why Beyonce went in the opposite direction ..she doesn’t have to follow trends to succeed..Rihanna does all this extra “adventurous” mess to cover up the fact that she has NO talent!
This is merely a leftover track from LOUD. So I’m not understanding what makes a revamped outtake epic. Try again, Rihanna. I’m not feelin Loud Part 2.
Yes. I’m slightly disappointed in the song…she didn’t sing enough…but I can’t say she sucks. To anyone who says she sucks, look up her album sales, look up her single sales and then you’ll see shes definitely not sucking right now.And btw, the vibe of the single cover is nothing like the vibe the song gave I, like everyone else, was looking forward to Rated R type ish because that was when she broke out and did her own thing. But this is popular so she gotta stick to it. Lastly, all the people who talk about artists just doing whats popular…they do that cuz y’all asses don’t buy the music if it don’t sound like the latest trends smh! be real and buy different music, then artists will start making different music.
@KillBill, with the music industry in the tough space it is in right now and all the illegal downloading going on, 25million is a great number, not to mention over 60million singles sold. And even If i switch it for something else, like her countless awards and her endorsement deals and her fragrance, she is of course not losing right now lol
RIHANNNA JUST #SLAYYYYEED THE NAVY, SLAYYED THE RADIO, SLAYYYED THE FANS, SLAYYYYYYYEDD YOUR MAMA, YOUR PAPA AND YOUR BALD HEADED GRANDMA, SLAYYYEDD THE WORLD, SLAAYYED THE GODS AND GODDESSS. #DEAD. “RIHANNA HOW DO YOU DO THAT??” THIS SING MAKES ME WANT TO CATCH A SEIZURE.
why is everyone saying this song is ‘different’? It’s pop, that’s Rihanna’s thing so I wasn’t really surprised when i heard it. It’s catchy though so I’m sure it will do well on the charts
I like it. It has a good message and it definitely had my head bobbing. I’m really interested to see what the overall direction of this album will be. It makes me wonder if she has even had time to really sit down and focus on this project because this girl has been working nonstop this past year and she’s still on tour. I’m hoping she isn’t just throwing a bunch of songs together and releasing microwavable pop music. That’s why I loved “Rated R.” It had direction and the theme was so consistant. I felt it was like a long story. I loved it. Anyway, good song though! I predict it will be a hit.
EPIC? I DON’T THINK SO! ONLY 2 VERY SHORT VERSES & 3 CHORUS’ TO MAKE THE FACT SHE HAS NOTHING TO WRITE ABOUT? I MEAN HER WRITERS HAVE NOTHING TO WRITE ABOUT?? WHY DOES HER VOCALS SOUND SO ENHANCED (only girl proves she doesn’t it enhanced, her vocals have improved)? I HAVE TO ADMIT SHE MADE ME FALL HEAD OVER HEELS WITH “Only Girl”, “& Who’s That Chick” BUT DOESN’T IT SOUND ALL THE SAME!?!! I’D RATHER LISTEN TO BLOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR THAN THIS SHIT!

We Found Garbage is just that. GARBAGE!!!
I hope people wake up from this Rihanna Coma where everything she does is ‘Epic’. This is not ‘EPIC’. She doesnt want to grow. Pure and Simple. Her fan base is deluded.
This is genius. Not lyrical or originality, but the fact its very catchy and radio friendly. You will find yourself singing this the more and more you here it. This will be #1 on Hot 100. Rihanna has another but on her hand.
[...] Radio stations got early scoop on Rihanna’s brand new single. It was originally announced for an October release but I guess the demand became bigger than her team anticipated. Her 6th studio album is tentatively scheduled for a November release. Listen to the Calvin-Harris produced single record after the jump (via Rap-Up). [...]
@Loice, what are you 5? “No it didn’t you suck!” (-_-) Anywho… beautiful people is not that great a song either. neither song is AMAZING they’re both Pretty GooD though…Rihanna’s song is catchier though.
It’ obvious it’s a lot of braindead Rihanna stans in here who will eat up any of the garbage she puts out. This song is so bland & generic it’s ridiculous! It sounds like that annoying ass ‘Only Girl’! She is not even trying to take risk she is only going for the hits which is pathetic! This is why no one takes her seriously as an artist! She is just a bootleg ‘pop princess’ who puts out meaningless music to get a hit!
I won’t be surprised if it becomes a hit cause it sounds like everything else on the radio!
M’kay, I agree with everybody else. This sounds very generic and Rih’s voice was clearly auto tuned. Yes, this will sell in Europe, but the only reason why it’ll do well in America is because the #RihannaNavy will make sure it goes #1 on iTunes. Yet, funny thing is, the “navy” has yet to help her achieve a #1 album.
#FreeYourMind: – This is so sad…I feel sorry for Rihanna because since Beyonce has to take another break on the account of her pregnancy, and the attack of Chris Brown fans on Rihanna because he didn’t get the recognition they think he deserves or the fact that Rihanna wasn’t brought down with him, are now going to launch a full-fledge attack on Rihanna. Evidence right here on this site. This is Rihanna’s 6th studio album in 6 years meaning this is not the first time she brings individual albums a year apart. So why people saying it’s too soon for a new album, according to Rihanna’s schedules with albums, she’s right on time. What many of you are acknowledging is that LOUD had an incredibly great run (album lasting a year with 6 music videos release & songs).
With that said, her first single is amazing actually, love her voice in this track and the lyrics (beautiful poetry). RihannaNavy we have to watch out because there’s a full launched attack on Rihanna to bring her down based on these comments since Beyonce isn’t coming back right now & Chris Brown well you know the story. #SoSad Well as a member of the RN, i will most definitely support RiRi especially with my millions. I feel we should support your favorite artist not bring down another artist because yours are not relevant or absent.
Enough of that, like Rihanna says We Found Love in Hopeless places…
I honestly have to say that this song could have be n alot better. The lyrics are so short and I feel like it is missing at least one verse. I will have to see if my opinion would change when the music video. I feel like later this sing will grow in me
Now I will admitt that Rihanna’s music, her style or beauty will not please everyone, but the young lady must be doing something right. Her popularity shows no signs of cooling down, as a matter of fact, she seems to be gaining momentum.
Rihanna is a global pop star, not just a North American sensation.
Regardless of the many who dislike her for whatever their reason(s), she is one of music’s most successful entertainers. This girl ain’t going anyhere, anytime soon.
The first time I listened to this, I wasn’t impressed but upon second listen, I really like it. It’s a very “pretty” song. It sure beats those sluggish R&B numbers she’s released as her last few singles.
Honestly anyone thats gonna buy this deserves to have their money stolen. For me it’s not just that this is generic, it’s that i’m still listening to only girl and what’s my name and compared to those, this song is lazy as fuck.
Like it doesnt even sound finished, it’s like someone remixed another song of hers, maybe thats what happened
Well I expected something different to be her lead single but sadly, my hopes were too high. Im get the same feeling from her nowadays… but im still holding on tight to that RihannaNavy.
I bought this off iTunes without listening to it because I was convinced I would love it. I’m a huge fan of most of her work and consider myself in her “Navy”. Her debut singles were consistently awesome and fresh..
Until this trash came out..
What was she thinking? Why would she even record this? What tasteless behind the scenes agency suit decided this would be a single for her? The beat sounds like every single other house dance track out there, and the lyrics are hugely lacking something.. Who wrote this?!
I see potential.. Strip away the dance backtrack, and add in live instruments.. Sorta “Umbrella” ish.. Flesh out the lyrics a lot more.. I don’t even know what she’s trying to say here? You found love on the dance floor. But what makes it hopeless?
gahh the frustration..

…We Found Love and We Found Hit…definitely gonna be a hit…insanely catchy club beats and a party anthem for lovers…but first airplay instantly suggested that the song was aimed more to be a pop hit and lacked any intentions of putting out a message or releasing something new and innovative…the meaning, tone, rhythm and gist of the song is already out there…its insanely cheesy and sassy to with that angelic mid-tones in her chorus…but hey…if it makes your feet tapping..if it attracts fans and pulls the rating then obviously its a hit…not a bad effort..but not better than Loud…I would give it a 3/5
This style of music is getting old, I expected something fresher. Loud was the first album of hers I didnt buy since A Girl Like Me, looks like I won’t purchase this one either.
im from england and SOME people in Europe might find this great but… im trying to like it…its not bad but… im tired of hearing Dance and Techno music god damn it!! wtf happened to good old R&b, good old hip-hop, and good old pop music. even Rock music is dying wtf!!!

omfqqqqq , this sonq is TRASHHHHHHHHHHHH ! All she did was say “we found love in a hopeless place” over and over and over aqain ! Its soo sad how people really eat this shit up !
I don’t CARE what anyone SAYS. Rihanna is the most consistent Artist in the game. She is only 23 years old AND has constantly delievered hit AFTER hit. Each album release always matches her pivital points in life (Rated R being one of my faves) & she always puts her all into the promotion and tours. In my opinion, I expected a Release like ‘WFL’ from Rihanna. She is not notably a R&B or Hip-Hop Artist of any sort. I don’t even know if I would consider her Pop except for her being Popular. However, she is in her own realm AND always dominates whatever song she is on. The difference between ‘WFL’ and all of the other Electro/Pop music on the radio is the fact that Rihanna takes it a step further w/ the music & lyrics. I am a fan of Electronic and when I listen to this song, I think of real Electronic AND not some random Pop song. It’s perfect for clubs, parties, driving through the city, or whatever. Besides, AS WE SHOULD all know HER ALBUM is going to SOUND totally different THEN this FIRST single. She always plays around with different sounds.
I wish FOR once, WE would all stop hating on Rihanna man. She is a young woman working hard and doing what she loves. Why can’t we respect her for that? If you dislike her music, then keep it moving! A lot of you people are going to die unhappy miserable lives. All of this Racism, Prejudices, Gay Bashing, Music (Rihanna) Bashing, etc…lol..I don’t get it! We are such a ‘Hateful’ generation. STFU and enjoy the music people. #RihannaNavyyyyy!
@RihannaFan, I don’t think we’re a “hateful” generation. At least not when it comes to Rihanna. I got nothing but love for the girl, but she can’t sing if her life depended on it. This girl gets paid millions, but the one thing she can’t deliver are some good vocals. I hate to bring Beyoncé up, but that woman has truly worked hard. I’m not saying Rihanna is just sitting around giving out orders to her team, but she doesn’t really do anything remarkable. People would respect her so much more if she would take the time to grow vocally and prove people wrong. Cause time and time again she’s horrible. If she would audition for The Voice and no one would recognize her voice, no one would turn their chair. And that’s real talk.
This was good marketing…she is about to begin her European Tour and this is so Euro Dance Pop…this will be a guy over seas….Rihanna team knows what they are doing. I love this song it’s very catchy…radio friendly and you can’t help but sing along whether you like it or not

There’s no longer a market for true urban music. There’s money to be made, so if that means selling out and making played-out songs like this, then that’s what’s happening.

But this is popular so she gotta stick to it. Lastly, all the people who talk about artists just doing whats popular…they do that cuz y’all asses don’t buy the music if it don’t sound like the latest trends smh! be real and buy different music, then artists will start making different music.
