Odd Future Drops Debut Single from New Artist Young Ni**a

Come Threw Looking Clean

Odd Future is up to more tricks. The controversial collective introduces rapper Young Ni**a, the first act signed to its label. But upon first listen, you’ll realize that it’s not a new artist at all, but simply Tyler, the Creator’s alter ego. He spits clichéd and comical rhymes on “Come Threw Looking Clean,” billed as the first single from his upcoming album Expensive Pasta.

“While our original intent was not to sign anyone to the label we simply could not pass up the opportunity to sign somebody this talented,” stated the group in a press release. “Young Ni**a embodies the DIY ethic and persona of Odd Future along with a commercial appeal that transcends demographics.”

Young Ni**a is on fire! Watch out.

this is exactly what im explaining to people. Tyler is art, dont care if you dont believe it. He is doing basically an extended parody of rap and what’s wrong with it with its lyrics, look, and overall thing

Even tyler’s lyrics are a bit out there, but its interesting to look into the mind of someone so pissed off and confused about the world without being afraid to go “there”

    i’ve told my piece

The Black race does NOT use these monkeys! If this is the future of Hip-Hop then you know what? Maybe we should just let it die and forget about it and do something about reviving R&B because this is ridiculous.

When NWA dropped Straight Outta Compton in 1989 they officially created a form of hip hop music called Gangsta Rap by the critics..that album spoke to a audience who related to the everyday struggles of inner city youths…when De La Soul dropped 3 ft and Rising that album spoke to an audience..so did A Tribe Called Quest with the Low End Theory..Public Enemy with Fight The Power..Nas..Illmatic and It was Written..all classic Hip Hop albums..and guess what Too Short..Life is Too Short was a classic album..Scarface..Mr. Scarface Is Back..Ice Cube Amerikkkas Most Wanted and even Master P..Ghetto Dope..all these albums spoke to a generation and helped shape what hip hop music is today..for better or worse..but for someone to make fun of a certain form of hip hop music only causes division..if you wanna know why hip hop is in the state its in now, its not because of whack rappers with no skill..there’s always gonna be that issue..always has been and always will..It’s lack of Unity amongst the Hip Hop Generation

@Da Truth, people have always made fun of certain parts of rock music, too tho. satire and parody shouldn’t just be a white privilege.

    Da Truth Reply:

@steph, comedians make fun of music and artists, it just makes me feel a certain way when someone who is a part of the culture does it..its almost like he’s sayin dat kind of music and style of rap is ignorant and not as artistic as other forms of rap..when it is the artists that performed or performs that type of music who paved the way for him and his group to break boundaries independently producing and distributing their music..just like he speaks to a certain audience through his music and they understand and relate to him, artists who perform the “young nigga” form of rap speaks to an audience that understands them..that’s what makes hip hop so unique and universal..throughout the history of hip hop music..there had always been a place for all forms of expression.. from LL Cool J to Jay Z..From Stetsasonic the first hip hop band to The Roots the hip hop band of now..from A Tribe Called Quest to The Hot Boyz….learn your history and embrace all forms cause its all rebel music
