Rihanna Fires Up Rock in Rio Festival
“Brazil, this is my very first time here and I’m so excited to share this moment with you,” said Rihanna during the first day of the Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro on Friday night (Sept. 23). With her brown hair in a ponytail and wearing red, white, and black striped shorts and a halter top, the leggy pop star set the park on fire with hit after hit, opening with “Only Girl (In the World),” spanking her male dancer during the fiery “S&M,” and storming the stage on a pink tank for “Hard.”
“Now Rio this is one of my favorite parts of the show. Rio, this is to you!” said RiRi before taking a shot and performing her celebratory LOUD single “Cheers (Drink to That).” She closed with her smash “Umbrella” as the sea of festivalgoers sang along.
