Rap-Up.com || Keri Hilson Gets Physical for Let’s Move! Campaign

Keri Hilson worked up a sweat while lending her support to Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign. Wearing a pink Nike hat, sneakers, and T-shirt that read, “Pretty Girls Sweat,” the blonde bombshell exercised with the young women at the Educational Alliance’s Sirovich Senior Center in New York on Saturday, teaching them some moves as they got in shape. The First Lady also called on Beyoncé to re-record her hit “Get Me Bodied” for the initiative, aimed at fighting childhood obesity.

It’s sad but true. I know so much about it because I used to think like that.

That’s why I’m always on this site because they don’t understand that the same attitude they express on here is most likely the attitude same attitude that is represented outside. They just don’t see it.

Why you think so many black women fight the “Bitter” stigma? Because of the faceless women on here that keep that stigma alive and well. Beyonce vs Rihanna Vs Keri Hilson Vs. some other black female…INSTEAD OF SHOWING LOVE FOR ALL OF THEM…we have to resort to petty fights.

Changing the way you think involves you accepting that you have a flaw in your thought process. For some black women that’s too hard.

It’s easier to just start fights and tell people they’re “faggots” when they say something you don’t like or saying “go kill yourself” than to say, “Damn. I should’nt speak to another human being like that cause I wouldn’t want nobody disrespecting me like that.” They also don’t know that when they disrespect others, they disrespect themselves. Damn. Is that really how we look ladies?

All we can do is try to teach and encourage one another that we can have differing opinions and STILL be respectful to one another. It’s a long fight though, cause that “hood” mentality is a debilitating disease that is KILLING the african-american community…alot of THAT poison is coming from the music we suport. But that’s another post.

@Joe, actually if you’ve read or bothered to research the First Lady’s initiative then you would know her concern is what kids are eating in schools and the lack of physical activities in schools. Since schools receive government funding, she is very much within her right to push this initiative & tap popular artists (Kerry Hilson included) to help further the initiative. During G.W. Bush’s term in the White House & his wife Laura pushed the Learn to Read initiative was she wrong for that? Stop watching Fox thinking that they are providing you w/ sound facts because they DON’T.
