Rap-Up.com || New Music: B.o.B f/ Lil Wayne

B.o.B comes back with a vengeance on “Strange Clouds,” the first offering from his upcoming sophomore album. The Grand Hustle rapper trades aggressive rhymes with Lil Wayne over the foreboding beat, which will captivate hip-hop heads and radio alike. Instead of showering his girl with compliments on lighter tracks such as “Nothin’ on You,” Bobby Ray rains down on the hater parade.

“These ni**as wake up on my dick, at least have some breakfast first/ Ni**a keep your nourishment first and your mind on my lyrics ’cause what you hoping to accomplish, I already did it, bitch,” he raps.

Tunechi Li floats on that “Arnold Schwarzenegger” and arrests the beat with his wicked wordplay, rhyming igloo with jiu-jitsu. Prepare for the storm.

Not really impressed. I’m a hardcore B.o.B. fan, but this isn’t cutting it to me. I’m used to B.o.B. giving meaning & something different. I’m a bit off @ him having Lil Wayne on a track w/ him. Lil Wayne is like the most non-meaningful rapper. He raps about a bunch of bull. & this song isn’t really helping anything much. It’s lukewarm to me.

@Dave, i agree with you, i know B.o.B has done ‘club’ records before but i like when he does more meaningful music. To be honest the song would have been better without Wayne on it. I’m still excited for B.o.B’s new album though, i think it’ll be pretty good. Plus singles nowadays don’t do most albums justice lol.
