Rap-Up.com || New Music: Tyrese f/ Brandy – ‘The Rest of Our Lives’

Tyrese imagines “The Rest of Our Lives” on his newly leaked duet with Brandy. On the soulful ballad, which makes the perfect wedding soundtrack, the groom (Tyrese) sings about spending forever with his bride (Brandy), who echoes the sentiments. It was recorded for his upcoming album Open Invitation, due November 1. An alternate version featuring Melanie Fiona has also surfaced. Listen to both below and tell us which you prefer.

This is a beautiful song…Tyrese sound great…Brandy sounds AMAZING…It’s nice and really chilled out…I can definitely see this as a song where people walk down the isle to in marriage. I need this song to be a single and have a video. It would be great for the both of them.

Such an awesome duet!!!)) I love it.

I was ready to dismiss Tyrese and focus solely on Brandy, but frankly, he killd it! his style is so fresh and refined! I have not heard many singers sing with this style..

Let’s just end this right here. Brandy>>>>>>>>>>>Melanie, and that’s just it. Hell, Melanie will even agree with that. Tell me, how is Mel’s version better than Brandy’s when you can CLEARLY hear Brandy’s vocals in the background on Mel’s version?? IDK, but it seems as if Brandy recorded with him first. The version with Brandy was played at Tyrese’s listening party. It’s not like Melanie can’t sing, because she can, but there’s so much Brandy influence in her voice here. It’s like she was doing all she could to outdo, or separate her sound from Brandy. Which is why Bran’s got this one. Just keepin’ it real.

The first version with Brandy was lovely, but I like the version with Melanie Fiona better. There is a lot more soul and I can truly feel the words a lot more.

I can’t tell what y’all are listening to saying that the Brandy version is better… I like her but…er…umm… she always sounds auto-tuned. Melanie sounds better on this track but she’ll lose to the politics.
