The King returned to claim his throne. T.I.’s homecoming festivities kicked off last night with a welcome home party presented by T.I.G. and WorldStarHipHop at ESSO in Atlanta during BET Hip-Hop Awards weekend.

With his wife Tiny by his side, the guest of honor made his way to the event with a police escort, arriving presidential style through throngs of traffic. He jumped on stage for his first live performance since being released from prison, delivering his greatest hits and some new material with Grand Hustle’s B.o.B and Young Dro.

Guests including Nelly, Amar’e Stoudemire, CyHi the Prynce, NeNe Leakes, and DJ Drama toasted his return. Tip didn’t leave without promising that he would “bring the A-town back if I gotta do it by my damn self!”
