Rap-Up.com || Monica Digs Deep in ‘Until It’s Gone’ Video

Monica brought the drama while shooting the cinematic video for “Until It’s Gone” in Harlem on Monday. The R&B songstress was glowing as she was joined by her husband Shannon Brown on set. The concept appears to involve an accident scene with actors Malinda Williams (“Soul Food”) and Brian White (“The Shield”), whose faces were bloodied. Mo showed off her latest look, sporting shoulder-length locks styled by Ursula Stephens (Rihanna).

“Love when we shoot videos more like movies #UntilItsGone Diane Martel directing, SO honored 2 have Melinda Williams & Brian White as cast,” she tweeted. “Video is going to be deep, Diane Martel isn’t playing around.”

The ballad, produced by Missy Elliott and written by Jazmine Sullivan, is the first single from Monica’s seventh album New Life, due November 29.

@Diego the reason Monica and other rnb singers don’t cross over as müch is b/c whites tend to like soül-less pop müsic…this is why the recipe to türn crossover has been to be a watered down soül-less singer in order to be less intimidating for decades…thüs yoü have yoür Rihannas and a more watered down Beyonce who in contrast to Rihanna can really sing büt has to appeal to a more pop aüdience to sell records!!

Real talk…I knock her ish over all the rest! She shows that being hood but classy, sensitive but sucka free, outspoken but real, fresh 2 death and still wifey material is still an option!!! Mo is looking incredible as usual… A classic Beauty. The new single is PYHA by the way and so true… But why is Beyonce always mentioned ( she must be at the top of her game for real because people are quick to bring her name up. This is about Monica not B!) Beyonce is a bad a** B… But there is enough room for all these girls.
