New Music: Common - 'Blue Sky'

  /  10.04.2011

Blue Sky

Common reaches for the “Blue Sky” on the first single from his upcoming album The Dreamer, The Believer, due November 22. The Chi-town MC uplifts the people by dropping aspirational rhymes over the soulful No I.D. production, which samples English rock group Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky.”

“I’m like a preacher that once was a fiend/ A story of change that came with wings,” rhymes the rapper, actor, and author, who will shoot a video for the song later this week in Los Angeles.
