Miranda Brooke admits to being a “Hater” in the video for her debut single. The R&B singer, who was signed to Bu Vision/Def Jam by Akon’s brother and A&R executive Bu Thiam, can’t hide her true feelings toward a girl who’s all over her man. The Chattanooga, Tennessee native works as an assistant to her boyfriend, a photographer, on set of his photo shoot. But when the model tries to take him before her very eyes, it’s only natural that her “Hater” instinct comes out.

“It’s a song about ugly feelings,” explains Miranda of the Sham “Sak Pase” Joseph production. “It’s about jealousy, insecurity, and weakness, but it’s honest.”

She needs some star dust before she turns into a boring R&B singer. I like her voice and the beat but she needs to bring it to 2011! on her next song. If she doesn’t she will become another shontelle and nobody wants that.

Come on girl, show us why we should buy into. Bring some personality into your music. Shes’s got potental so i hope she is guided properly.

R&B is coming back but with a new flava. Just look at Elle Varner. She’s exciting and fresh.

Maybe also change your name to keep it fresh.

the thing is that all of you are so use to sex in videos and cursing that when you hear a real song you get confused and think it’s wrong…This song is for her young audience not for all ears if you dont like it then that’s your opinion. Don’t hate her because she is a young woman trying to make it in this world. you should all be standing up happy for her and reaching to pat her on the back. All this hating and jealousy is unnecessary. And for the jerk that said she was ugly that was uncalled for she has not done anything to you to make you call her such name; news flash she’s a very beautiful young lady and successful so just be mad at yourself because you’ll never compare to her…Love this song and only those that can relate will understand it..

I love how hard people are going in on new artists now a days. I think its a cute song and a good video to back it up. People have to start some where and thats what she is doing. She cant start at the top cause then she has no where to go. So on the people calling it boring and calling her ugly. Keep listening to Beyonce and Lady Gaga. Clearly your views on music have been mess up.
