« Usher Hits the Studio with Pharrell, Jim Jonsin, & DiploLady Gaga, Bruno Mars, & Jessie J Shine at MTV Europe Music Awards »Frank Ocean Makes a Splash at Tour Kickoff in New Orleans![]() Frank Ocean returned home to New Orleans for his first of five live intimate shows. “This is my hometown,” the Odd Future singer-songwriter told the audience at the House of Blues on Saturday night. The 23-year-old recluse, who moved to Los Angeles after Hurricane Katrina, performed cuts off his mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra and showcased new material from his upcoming Def Jam debut. Dressed in a black suit with a red-and-white bandana around his head, he had the crowd singing along to some of the songs he penned including Beyoncé’s “Miss You” and Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “No Church in the Wild” and “Made in America,” while standing in front of a digital screen. A cover of Sade’s “By Your Side” was also on the set list. His fellow Odd Future members watched from the balcony as a solo Frank shined onstage. “Frank First Show Last Night Was So Fucking Awesome Nigga. I Almost Cried Cause A Nigga Was So Excited,” tweeted a proud Tyler, the Creator. See some of the highlights below.

i almost cried when he sung i miss you. it was amazingly done. i am happy he performed it because those artists do need give the songwriters enough credit for there work. they think by putting there names in a little ass booklet in there album thank yous is enough.. no one even read those..i loved it frank u can sing to me anytime.

I was at this show. It was electricity in the air the entire time. He just walked out and started singing Sade.
Who does that?! And Tyler the Creator was in the building singing and cheering Frank on the entire show. It was an amazing night.
