Spoiler alert! Rihanna serves up 30-second snippets from her sixth album Talk That Talk in advance of its November 21 release. Sample 11 songs including Jay-Z’s verse on the Stargate-produced title track, the Dr. Luke-helmed second single “You Da One,” the raunchy Bangladesh banger “Cockiness (Love It),” and tasty “Birthday Cake,” penned by The-Dream. If you like what you hear, head over to iTunes to pre-order.

Drunk on love samples the XX Album intro by The XX. so its not stealing anything from keri hilson and also why is everyone complaining about similarities with beats. when you hear a timbaland, dr.dre, lex luger (which is actually bad in terms of repetitive sound patterns) beat you know its by the producer. similarities here and there are not a bad thing. As for the album. If rihanna plays this well i think it puts her at the top of the pecking order of worldwide artists. Adele’s 21 will soon fade, and lady gaga has run out of crazy ideas. I can’t judge how good this album is through snippets but i can say it’s refreshing riri stuck to her regular mix of sungs with pop, r&b and dance because she could have easily gone mostly dance and gottena bunch of number 1 songs considering the direction the music industry is moving in at the moment

@ike, Lady GaGa i may agree with BUT Adele is one of the only TRULY talented people in the industry right now “21″ will fade cause the album will get old and new ones will come in, but adele as an artist will not fade i see her doing great things. I like Rihs’s songs but I also acknowledge the fact that it is pretty tasteless stuff with good beats, i wont judge the songs i have hear yet but the snippets don’t do it for me yet, I wish she would have put more ballads on this album to show her vocal range but i may still get the album anyway lol…

@xo, um…did you forget about Mary J. Blige? Her album will likely debut at #1. Her fanbase grew up buying albums and they’ve been loyal over the years and she always does over 300K in first week sales. Rihanna’s fan base is super loyal too, but she’s more of a digital singles artist.

@xo, no there really isn’t anything wrong with that at all. Her being a digital artist helps all her songs go to #1, hence racking up 11 of them. More power to her. Regarding this album though, I think this will be her best sales week yet. Each album gets bigger and bigger in terms of first week sales #’s. Not to mention, “We Found Love” is ruling the world right now which only helps her cause. As far as Mary though, her singles aren’t making much noise but I heard her album snippets and believe me…it’s a WINNER. Between that album and Rihanna’s, I’m going to be happy camper on Nov. 21st.

I know I’m super critical of Rihanna at times (yes, I think her performances still SUCK and would never pay more than $5 to see her live) but at the end of the day I’m always a fan. I’ve bought all her albums so far and will only continue to do so with this one. What I’ve heard from these snippets sounds reallyyyyy good. I knew Bangladesh would bring the heat on “Cockiness” and her delivery sounds really interesting on that song. “Talk That Talk” and “Watch N’ Learn” sound great too. I heard Mary J. Blige’s album snippets too and that album sounds amazing as well. And they’re BOTH coming out on the same day…YES!!!

Rihanna is amazing and all, but I truly do not feel like she is truly deserving of some of her #1′s. Some of those songs are garbage and have no substance whatsoever. I don’t wish Rihanna badly, but I really hope she takes a break. Majority of these songs are about sex, and she is selling this sexy and almost slutty image to young girls and it isn’t right. It is okay to have club records and a few sensual songs, but when an artist is constantly talking about sex and, there videos are full of sex, drugs, and violence that isn’t good! What kind of example is she setting? Majority of the music industries epic records were not sexy songs. They were intimate, but not provocative. I truly will be upset if people continue to buy her material knowing what they are doing. She does not deserve to be in the rankings of Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Madonna, and especially Mariah Carey.

@chrischris1992, The issue I see is that she’s a woman. We live in a society where women are subjugated and we like them to be hoes but only if men are creating them into hoes. If women take their sexuality as empowerment then it’s wrong and society shames them for it. If the chick likes sex then hey why not go for it. There is nothing wrong with her expressing her sexuality in whatever medium she pleases. Also this whole thing about young girls and setting an example is wrong. She isn’t a parent. If parents want to let their children listen to her music than that’s up to them. They can stop it from happening. People have just become such lazy parents it’s annoying. They blame tv, movies, music. Stop your children from watching and listening, or better yet explain to them what it is. Um. and Oh yeah. Music was not always so wholesome. Remember Madonna had a whole album dedicate to sex and released a book full of nude shots and “pornographic” pics. Her videos were also much more racy.

You people annoy me. Why do you continue to hate on someone who is going to be successful regardless of what you people think. I am going to buy this album because it sounds good & I can relate. She’s 23, what the hell do you all expect? A holy song? Every topic rihanna sings about fits her age. I’m 22 & honestly, I like to hear songs about sex, relationships, & fun all in one. Why wouldn’t I?
Just because Rihanna is comftorable with her sexuality doesn’t make her a hoe & just because her vocals aren’t “church-like” doesnt make her any less talented. WHAT did she do to you people to make you hate her? Smfh. This is why I don’t get on these sites…just ignorance & blacks against blacks. Anyways, album sounds EPIC. #RihannaNavy bit*

I stan for Rihanna.this, IMO, is her second best album. Rated R first. What annoys me is when people say, ” she is showing a bad example for young girls.” Now for real, is it her job to be a role model? Im pretty sure it wasnt listed in her resume. It should be their parents job to keep them away from watching inappropriate videos. Not rihannas. And if young girls really get persuaded into doing shit they see in a video, thats mad sad. Well other than that, love the album. way better than LOUD.

This just maybe rihanna best album if not second. This is the album that should have been compared to thriller. I hate when people say he album is not deep. WHat 23 year old you know is deep, and have so much enlightenment. If this was a male singer cd talking about sex like trey songs there would be no backlash and it is deep if you think about it. What other woman is talking about sex and being sexually liberated. She discussing a huge topic mainstream artist shy away from. She not trying to make another rated r because she’s not in that dark place anymore loud was happy moment and TTT is where she is now, and maybe thats wanting love, and loving sex. Let the child live but i expect TTT to be her highest debut if not number 1. The navy has been growing and she may go gold with all this hype..
Lastly expect Yu DA One be the 12 number 1!!!

Wow, always hard to judge an album on first listen or just snippets, but this sounds soooo good!!! I sense there are some timeless pieces of pop goodness on this one..My favorite so far are songs Rihanna wrote herself, as I’ve always enjoyed her writing from RatedR..this’ be
You Da One and Watch’n'Learn (which reminds me of Firebomb). Can’t wait!

Rihanna never seems to dissapoint me!! That Rihanna reign just won’t let up. Hopefully, she will slay with this album I like the R&B vibe of it reminds me of the old Riri…The one I first fell in love with. Yet, pop sells these days and she hasn’t forgotten those fans either this is a nice mix. There are definitely alot of potential hits on this album I just hope she chooses the songs the fans want to shoot videos for after all we do decide what goes to the top and what doesn’t. Can’t wait to purchase TALK THAT TALK!

Rihanna #1? LMAO in November 21 you have Taylor Swift, MJ, Mary J. Doughtry, and another I can’t remember the name. Taylor CD is not out and already she has 5 songs on the Itunes chart and 2 of them are in the #1 & #2 spots. Now who you think is going to have the #1 spot?

@pia, STFU !FIRST OF ALL TAYLOR DOESNT HAVE A NEW ALBUM OUT UNTIL 2012 , AND THE ONLY REASON RIHANNA ISNT SPENDING HER 21 DAY AT #1 IS CUZ TAYLOR PERFORMED THAT SHIT ON CMA’S A POPULAR COUNTRY AWARDS SHOW.. RIHANNA DIDNT DO ANYTHING TO BE AT #1 JUST THE RELEASE OF HER VIDEO AND BAM ! #1 BUT TAYLOR HAS TO PROMOTE HER SHIT… AND MARY J BLIDGE ISNT GOING TO SELL AS U THINK.. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME SHE HAD A HIT SONG??? AND DOUGHTRY ??SERIOUSLY?? SHUT UP .. MJ MAYBE THE ONLY CLOSE COMPETITION BUT I DONT THINK HE IS GOING TO DO AS WELL AS MOST WOULD PREDICT.. AND RIHANNA IS GOING TO BE ON X-FACTOR AND ELLEN TO PROMOTE HER NEW SINGLE AND ALBUM.. AND PROBABLY THE AMA’S SOOO YAH UR MAD !

@SHELLLZZZZZZ!, Well Taylor doesn’t have an album coming out till next year so she won’t be competition although the chick does sell albums. Mary J will probs be #1 though because she doesn’t need hits to sell. Her last album opened with over 300k without hit single. She can sell over 300k this time around. I think Riri is probs looking at 250k+. She needs to do some promotion though.

@@WillNomNoms, i agree mary fan base comes out and support and has been fading lately but with this CD being titled my life 2 all the old fans may come out in numbers…….so rihanna better have the stars brining it to every performance vocals choreography and everything all the videos better be up to par with WFL and she has to put her all in all aspects of this album wtf is her MTV documentary like 4 born this way thank me later and pink friday had. I just hope riri brings it and the navy needs to support no matter what how can she have 9 million twitter followers and can’t go gold in the first week

As i read all of these comments im SMH! anybody in their RITE mind should know “the producers creates the beats”, “the song writers write the songs” & the singer “Rihanna” just brings it to life!!!!!! if yall wanna negative talk and criticize anybody…… point the fingers at the producers & the song writers….. Rihanna is VERY talented! and can almost fit into ANY category you put her in…. with these 6 albums she has shown NOTHING but growth, versatility, & most of all ORIGINALITY! shes always came w/ something different and new…. i have ALL 6 (already pre-ordered #TTT) albums and to be honest idk why non of them has made it to #1…. but if i had to compare, Good Girl Gone Bad & Rated R are CLASSICS!!!!!!! i just cant wait to hear the WHOLE album… bonus tracks and all

Typical Rihanna she hasn’t had an album with substance since Good Girl Gone Bad, and this image she’s selling to little girls is disgusting. No wonder little girls are dressing more and more like sluts look at what they see on t.v. I’m not a hater I’m just speaking my opinion I was really hoping Rihanna proved to the Music industry and nay-sayers that she was a real artist with depth, but instead she proved Adele’s producer right that she’s nothing more that a auto-tuned singer/porn star.

1. its not an album that i would listen to from beginning to end. 2. the delux version is not worth buying. 3. BIRTHDY CAKE AND WATCH AND LEARND sounds like songs KERI HILSON would record i hear her voice all over those. maybe because ester dean works with them both and i mix and match both artists song and but b0th on them..overall not a g00d album its not bad but i wouldnt spend any money on it…just being real

I really wanted a nice female collaboration on this album…
Rihanna feat. J-Lo
or
Rihanna feat. Beyoncé
why are the most female pop artists never do duets together….at least Beyoncé and Mary J Blige will amaze me!
