Drake’s ‘Take Care’ Set to Open Big on Charts![]() Drake’s fans are definitely taking care of him. The Young Money star’s sophomore album is on track to make a big entry on the charts in its first week.
Take Care, which has been receiving favorable reviews, is a shoe-in for No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week. According to HITS Daily Double, the project is predicted to sell between 675,000-725,000 in its opening week based on one-day sales estimates. These numbers will give Drizzy the third best debut of the year following Lady Gaga’s Born This Way (1.1 million) and his Young Money boss Lil Wayne, whose album Tha Carter IV sold just under a million in one week. It will also mark Drake’s second No. 1 debut following Thank Me Later, which entered with 447,000 copies in June 2010. @Rob, Where the hell would he find that many CD’s at? 100,000 cd’s would cost over $1,000,000. That doesn’t make any since; they would be too broke at this point to be doing this, if they did do it. That’s like saying he request all there songs on the radio, and buys all the seats during their concerts. Your statement has no points and a logical fallacy…fucking idiot.

@StarsAreBlind, I feel @Rob on this one. Drake calls himself real so many times in his album, it makes me think he’s fake, and fakes would do something like this. This is coming from a hardcore Young Money fan who goes to their concerts. Take Care is really soft and in no way can pull those numbers off, same with C4. I’m not hating, I’m just being real.

@mr_rosewood, Lmao, I know right.
@The Truth, Take Care is not weak. I agree C4 was, and I bought both. Take Care just takes a couple listens before you start to get it, and once you do it’s really good. You said you go to the concerts, so where you the only person there standing by Birdman? If not, then what you saw were real fans who went out to buy his CD and didn’t illegally download it, and it’s like that for each of his shows. I know at least 3 people who bought it. How do you convince yourself that out of the over 100,000,000 people, just in the U.S., that 600,000 of them wouldn’t by his album? Knowing he is a popular rapper signed to a big label who’s singles always get syndicated. Birdman isn’t the one nominating him for awards or putting out good reviews of his album. Logic is your friend, and I’m going to need you guys to hang out more.

@StarsAreBlind, NO they were real people who spent their hard working money to go to the concerts and I admit I was one of them. But lately, C4 and Take Care makes me wonder about Drakes and Lil Waynes masculinity. Im just not into this type of music anymore. It’s too slow and braggy with douchebag-type lyrics. i like REAL music such as Pac, Biggie, Eminem, etc…..but young money is fake.
FYI, I WAS A HARDCORE YOUNG MONEY FAN LOL.

Everyone feels the need to hate when someone’s sucessful. I predicted Drizzy would do anywhere from 400k-600k. His album is actually a good album, it’s scored 84% on metacritic which indicates “Universal Acclaim”. Watch The Throne didn’t really have a big single when it dropped, Otis & Paris didn’t get popular until afterwards really. Headlines gets a lot of play on the radio, and Marvins Room was a big record still, look how many people covered it. In my school, and on FB I always see ppl talking about Drake, he’s one of the most popular artist out right now, like it or not. Hov always does around 400k, and Ye will never ever fully recover his image to the point it was before the Taylor Swift sh*t.

Are these people discussing my career again?
Asking if I’ll be going platinum in a year again
Don’t I got the shit the world wanna hear again?
Don’t Michael Jordan still got his hoop earring in?
Man all of your flows bore me: paint drying
And I don’t ever be trippin off of what ain’t mine
And I be hearing the shit you say through the grapevine
But jealousy is just love and hate at the same time
It’s been that way from the beginning
I just been playing, I aint even notice I was winning
And this is the only sound you should fear
Man, these kids wear crowns over here and everything is alright.

numbers dont mean s***. what matters is the content and this is some really bad content. Obv this is coming from someone who loves hip-hop and grew up listening to REAL people (Tupac, Biggie, Eminem (back when he was more slim shadyish))…sorry young money is fake money and thats the only reason they sell alot. Thats just me speaking the truth.
