Drake, Ludacris Added to AMA Performers
In an ironic turn of events, Drake and Ludacris are the latest artists to join the list of performers at the 2011 American Music Awards.
The announcement comes on the heels of Ludacris’ fiery diss record “Bada Boom,” where he takes shots at Drake and Big Sean. “Counterfeit rappers say I’m stealin’ they flows, but I can’t steal what you never made up, bitch/ Y’all some duplicate rap cloning ni**as/ I manufacture you hos/ Put on your makeup, bitch,” he raps on the cut off his mixtape 1.21 Gigawatts: Back to the First Time.
Drizzy will perform his single “Headlines” from his new album Take Care and Luda will join Enrique Iglesias on “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You),” their collaboration off the Latin heartthrob’s album Euphoria.
Other performers include Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Marc Anthony, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Gym Class Heroes, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, OneRepublic, and will.i.am with Jennifer Lopez. Nicki Minaj will open with David Guetta.
The show will be broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
