Rap-Up.com || New Music: Mary J. Blige f/ Beyoncé

Divas unite. Mary J. Blige and Beyoncé speak up for their fellow ladies on “Love a Woman,” a ’90s-inspired duet off Mary’s 10th album My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I), in stores Monday. The R&B songstresses showcase their powerful pipes as they tell their men what they want from a relationship.

Sean Garrett explained how the soulful collaboration came together. “I initially did the record for Beyoncé and then we just felt it would be an even bigger record with Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige,” the producer-songwriter told Rap-Up.com. “Both these women are two iconic female figures in the world, and what would be better than putting those two on a record? We felt it would be a really iconic move.”

It does nothing for me. When these two women get together it was susposed to be all hell. Just like when Alicia and Bey got together but it was just blah…Its not a bad song but i rather this song over many of the songs on both womens albums but it didnt deliver like a powerful collaboration of there statues like when “Michael & Janet *Scream*, “Mariah & Whitney *When You Believe*, “Celine Dion & Barbara Striesand *Tell Him* did songs. You heard them it was a great vocal, produced well, effort from the artisit.

I was looking for a way to say EXACTLY what you said…but you hit it.
Young people didn’t live through the 90′s like Mary and B did.
And what’s funny is that I would think B’s fans would appreciate what they did together.
Maybe because they ain’t talkin about money, sex, and drugs it makes it to hard for them to like.
I will say that I don’t like how some of the lyrics were sung…it seemed to be too much at times like I couldn’t understand what was being said. BUT the song itself is VERY pretty the way they sing it.
