Rap-Up.com || Drake Returns to Toronto in ‘Homecoming’ Special [Video]

Drizzy’s home. Drake went back home to Toronto in the MuchMusic special “Drake: The Homecoming.” The hometown hero stuck around for hours to sign autographs for fans, who waited outside in the cold and rain to meet their idol during an in-store appearance. Afterwards, he sat down with reporter T-rex and reflected on the past, shared why Rihanna was the perfect fit for Take Care‘s title track, and answered questions from fans.

The awkward teenager has come a long way since his Degrassi days. “Kids in class made fun of me all the time. I was never popular. I wasn’t cool. I’m cool now though. Things change,” said Drake, who hid behind a Yankees cap during the interview. “I really just want to be something positive for this generation.”

Producers Boi-1da and T-Minus also praised their friend and collaborator in the three-part video series.
