Rap-Up.com || 50 Cent Celebrates Headphones Launch

50 Cent celebrated the launch of his hi-fidelity headphones, SYNC by 50, at Jimmy at The James Hotel in Manhattan last night. The G-Unit mogul, who serves as CEO of SMS Audio, suited up for the occasion, explaining why he decided to develop a competitor to Dr. Dre’s Beats by Dre. “I want people to hear music the way I hear it initially,” 50 told TechCrunch.

At the event, he also spoke about signing “Jersey Shore” star DJ Pauly D to his pop label G-Note Records. “I call him ‘the bridge,’” the rapper told Rolling Stone. “He’s going to be something between what you would get from a DJ Khaled or a DJ Drama and what you would get from David Guetta.”

50 will release his new mixtape The Big 10 on Friday to mark the 10-year anniversary of 50 Cent Is the Future.

Beats By Dr. Dre over everything. why the fuck would some1 even bother coppin these? 50 you a sucka for copying Dre’s shit. oh and it looks hideous too.
i own Red Beats by Dr. Dre studio headphones. and ill buy red wireless beats too if they make make those.

This is true. IDK abot ‘terrible’ but they are NOT the highest quality. I had $20 headphones they gave me the same sound… not even… The $20 were better. I was listening to Dre Beats 2wks ago while I was over seas (BTW… Dre Beats is everywhere in the world!!! Everyone has them!) & I didn’t understand the big deal. You’re just paying for the name. 50′s headphones is shatter-proof & flexible. They have a few important features that Dre Beats don’t have. Give new a try. Annnnnd they’re like half the price. It’s a reason why 50 is worth $250 Million (Before this deal)…
He’s smart. These seem legit. People need to cut it out & get with the cheaper & possibly ‘better’ choice.

@greg, nah imma stick to these Beats. i dont even like 50 cent as a person/his music the past 4 years. if kanye made headphones which he probably wont. i’d def cop those. he got taste. (Air Yeezy’s, Louis Vuitton Don’s, his favo black/red Jordan 6′s etc.)

Competition is good. It gives ‘US’ as consumers choices.
What’s the problem? I can agree that if U find a company that you feel stays on point with their brand quality you tend to stick with them (me Apple products), but I’m still open to other ideals. If Jay Z came out with RocNation headphones or him & Kanye collab & make “The Throne” head phones then they’ll be the new ‘standard’.

I hate when people jump on trend trains. They see the success of Beats by Dre, and now we have Ludacris’ busted up ‘Soul Headphones’ and now this. They all look like knock-offs by comparison. I guess this is the next common hip-hop venture, *sigh.

The reason these will be better than Dre is the wireless isn’t bluetooth like Dre’s wireless so DJs can use them with their mixers…also you can pair up to 4 hearphones per wireless jack so DJs and others who want to share the music can all listen at once…I’m copping them
