The “Fireball” has landed. Willow Smith ignites the screen in the Hype Williams-directed video for “Fireball” featuring Nicki Minaj. During her visit to “106 & Park,” the 11-year-old singer also announced the title of her debut album Knees and Elbows, due April 3.

“Everybody falls down and scratches their knees and elbows, but eventually they get back up,” she explained of the R&B-meets-hip-hop offering.

@TEAM MINAJ!, Jada Pickett is her mother & some of the roles that she played in aren’t appropriate for Willow to see. Also Eddie Murphy is raunchy in his stand up but still do children movie. Some artists can do work for both adults & kids. Nicki is one.

willow got attitude and skills she got talent,it isn’t because her last name is smith well the name help to open doors for her yes,but she got talent she is working to make a name for her self even at that young age…people should give her her props and stop shadowing her with the smith name…and nicki did her thing too as usual,the over all video is fun and entertaining.

Hey hey hey! No need to bring Teairra in on this mess. Lol willow needs to sit down. It’s clear her team isn’t being selective in the interest of striking while the iron is hot. That wont bode well for her. This track sounds like a lil mama throwaway. I agree that she has talent but it’s raw and unformed. I don’t care how much swag she has, the dancing was on the wack side. And the name recognition IS what got her the deal. Talent was abonus but not a necessity. No label is gonna invest in a 10 year old just cause they have talent. They may give them a development deal but let’s not pretend that there is any other reason for her to have a full fledged record deal at this age if it were not for industry nepotism. I’m all for her being signed but she needs more time to develop OUT of the public eye. And lastly… Did hype take a handful of somas or valiums before filming this? This was worse than the video he did for Call on Me.

@Shade, Yeah the dancing was wack. There are no other chicks her age in the game right now so she gets compared to the grown-ups. And comparatively it’s weak. I will reiterate that she has a lot of potential but her talent is very raw and unformed. And yes I think she needs to develop in privacy, if this new single and video are any indication. With regard to replicating the “choreography” in the video, don’t threaten me with a good time.

And aside from that, I still don’t understand using an adult to collaborate with a child but oh well. Nicki was superfluous in this video, and in this song altogether.
