Lupe Fiasco stirs up more controversy on the politically-charged “American Terrorist III,” a new track released via Twitter. The rebellious rapper tells the story of a soldier who wages an insurrection and is now clearing his conscience. “Funny ’cause he really hated war, but why we went to war is what he really hated more,” rhymes Lupe over the haunting robotic hook.

I appreciate this cat. The fact that he raps about REAL things that are occurring daily. Ppposed to the majority of knuckle-head rappers that follow record execs and spew out feeble-minded lyrics that does not go for progressive or thought provoking lyrics, thats LAME. I say keep going Lupe!

To compare lupe to Tupac, perhaps the greatest rapper of all-time is a complete joke. Tupac wanted to make changes with the corruption in our society. Lupe is making false claims about corruption that does not exist. People need to stop agreeing with everything Lupe Fiasco says just because he can rap. If you have a great flow it does not mean you are always right. He is filling todays youth’s heads with complete nonsense and it is truly a tragedy everybody believes every word that comes out of this man’s mouth

Maaaannn….I used to bump Lupe way bak when it wasnt cool, FoodNLiqour, and The Cool, but this is getting on my nerves, seeing everybody jumping on his tip acting like he is hip hops saviour now. Lupe lost his mind man, he needs to stop doin this ‘ef the goverment’ over techno beats crap and just go back to rapping straight bars. Listen to songs like “put you on game” and “daydreamin” and you’ll know what I mean.

After reading all these comments, I realize how ignorant I am about Lupe.

I’ve only heard a few songs from him, but if he’s really talkin’ about something, I’m def willing to listen.

I’m not expecting (political) perfection, but if he’s trying, he’s doin’ a lot more than other rappers…which we can all see –Money, cars, clothes, sex…” Blah. So much more to life…but some of ya’ll don’t wanna hear that so I won’t go there…now.
