will.i.am provides the soundtrack to your next celebration with the electro-dance “Great Times,” which will serve as Brazil’s first single from his solo album #willpower. “I hope you’re ready/ Great times are coming,” sings the Black Eyed Peas frontman in an Auto-Tuned voice. A video has already been shot in Rio de Janeiro. Listen to the final version of the song featuring vocals from his fellow Pea apl.de.ap.
Let’s be honest though, I don’t actually think we are his target audience. That ‘music’ is for people who are not necessarily music-educated, listen to commercial radio, watch MTV, go to trashy clubs. This is for the average joe. We’re too ‘purists’ for that, just the fact we’re on rap-up debating music is already a sign of a minimum of music education and opinion. That song is a party track, end of. I don’t think there’s any depth or any substantial aim behind it.

@Jordan Gabriel, CO-SIGN!
The AVERAGE JOE will eat this up. To see Will.i.am produce crap like this is terrible if you think back to how he started with the orinigal Peas (before fergie). The songs off his new album are just songs he never used for the peas really. Nothing different or innovative.
Will.i.am needs a reality check. He’s ego is soo big that its affecting the quality of music he makes.
I hope this album FLOPS T.H.E. H.A.R.D.E.S.T
I also remember when Will started the Original Black eyed peas with the asian looking chick. they were so creative and soulful. His content had so many layers of depth. Now his music has no substance. Its complete TRASH! And whats with the Astronaut outfits?
Good luck Will. But I dont think you will last unless you come back to earth and get a REALITY check.
A huge RAP fan, I appreciate all kinds of music… this isn’t “garbage” just not for the rap heads like Jordan and Wonderland19 said. Although I disagree with Wonderland… I don’t think he needs a reality check, he’s a producer/artist that has changed threw time, like we all do… but I agree when he was specifically rap and hip hop his music was better, so it is unfortunate to see him continue to fade further away from the roots that we know him from… the Peas. But keep grindin Will, I aint hatin!
@TheReelAce, I hear what you are saying about change of style but I dont think he has changed for the better. No disrespect but his music is like fast food. The same kind of junk Rihanna puts out.
Look at Kanye. He has evolved as a producer but for the better. He is more diverse but he keeps putting out GOOD music. Now he is a good example of a great producer. Kanye doesn’t comprimise for money. He believes in creativity and thats why he has the most Grammy nominations even tho we all know he hates awards shows.
@Mark London, im not a rihanna stan at ALL but in her defense atleast she knows how to put out the BEST type of fast food music, but i do agree about what you said about kanye evolving as a artist/producer(that guy is a genius), but Will.i am seems like his glory days are almost over. this is trash..
I’m not the average joe, but I do like this song a lot actually. Idk, I love dance and house music as well as hiphop. I don’t think it’s the song of the year by ANY means, but it’s not the worst thing out there right now. I think it’s perfect for getting ready for a night out, but that’s it.
