Rap-Up.com || Nicole Scherzinger Sings Opera, Cee Lo Duets with Leona Lewis at Royal Variety Gala

Nicole Scherzinger brought the drama while singing the title track from The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Variety Performance. The “X Factor” judge took the stage before Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, during the annual gala, which was taped earlier this month. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the musical, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber enlisted Nicole to play Christine opposite the four Phantoms.

In addition to the Pussycat Doll, Cee Lo Green performed his single “Anyway” and dueted with Leona Lewis on a cover of Queen’s “Somebody to Love.”

I always knew that Nicole Scherzinger is an amazing singer. She was part of a sexy hot girls group but it proves that she is not just a hot girl, pretty face and a great performer… SHE REALLY SINGS!

That def showed some serious vocal prowess. Her voIce is much more suited for classical operatic pieces than the rhythmic pop she attempts to release. The pop radio fodder utilizes her lower register more which is substantially less pretty than her upper register.

She needs to do stage and rack up some Tonys.
