Which artists were getting lots of play on JoJo’s iPod this year? The pop star shares her five favorite albums of 2011 including a dynamic duo, an “odd” newcomer, pop queen, Drake (“I love it when he sings. He really creates an atmosphere”), and Beyoncé.

“I think it was the best vocal performance of this year, especially by a female,” JoJo told Rap-Up TV of B’s 4 while on set of her Clearasil PerfectaWash commercial. “I don’t think anyone’s topping Beyoncé.”

@Lauryn, I agree with u as far as ’4′ being an AMAZING album BUT it is no where near as EXTRAORDINARY as Adele’s ’21′……every track is simply amazinh whereas (for me) ‘Run the world’ completely messes up the album, especially when its on shuffle. Ad21 > 4

@baya, You guys say Adele’s “21″ is great because of sales. “19″ is just as good as 21 but you don’t hear anyone saying that album is extraordinary, Adele is boring her vocals, and melody are the same on every song which is blah blah blah. Lovesong definitely ruins her album 21<4.

@Frank, She’s a singer. Search her song “Too Little Too Late.” She has two albums and a mixtape already out. First album when she was 13, second when she was 15-16, mixtape when she was 18-19, her third album drops next year.

JoJo has a lot of fans over here in Brazil and her famous ‘Too Little Too Late’ is still like a anthem among the teens and young adults :)

@Ok…, GaGa’s album is FAR from garbage. There are some songs that i dont like but to call the album garbage is ludicrous. Its sold 8mil+ worldwide, 2nd behind Adele with 12mil+. Its all about what your taste is. “Edge of Glory” is the standout track and one of the best pop songs released this year imo.

I know ppl are going to say “everything isnt about sales” which is true but you CANNOT call an album that has sold 8mil ww garbage

“4″ was amazing, hands down! It was her least commercial sounding album and I personally think that’s what made it better. “Start Over” and “I Care” are my favorites.

@4, contrary to what the hype and the media machine makes you think, Rihanna’s albums don’t sell very well in the U.S. Her biggest 1st week sales ever in the history of her career was 207,000 and her total album sells don’t compare to the rest of the heavy hitters. She sells singles so she is always going to live and die by her latest sound/song. She’s been doing well so far & when she doesn’t, her label spends enough money to shove her music down our throats. It will be interesting to see how long it will last.

“4″ is good but it is merely a rehash of other work. Adele’s album out classes everything. It is a masterpiece. Simply amazing. Gaga had some amazing stuff on her album as well. JoJo is a Beyonce stan, Beyonce is a good singer but she is hyping her way up…

@TheMan, Just like your hyping Adele way up. Be for real “21″ is only considered the best because of the album sales, other than musicality it lacks fun, rhythm, her vocals are weak and the same on every song. Beyonce “4″ vocals are at it’s best and it is the best vocal album of the year.

@Cranberry, nah! adele can sing for sure dont get me wrong, but beyonce can sing vocally, wayyyyy much better, adele’s is fresh, ofcourse everybody is gonna think shes awesome and stuff like that. Beyonce is a legend, she has range, emotion, and power on her voice, adele, has a one tone voice.. thank you!

Adele is mounds and leaps ahead of Beyonce vocally. Beyonce gets shouty in her upper range. Just because you scream in the upper register doesn’t mean that you have range. Beyonce’s voice is very basic. Adele’s voice is far more polished than Beyonce, it’s more soulful, more emotive and much more distinct. Adele >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Beyonce period….

@TheMan, well, lets see how adele shouts and makes ehr voice sings, every artist has there way of singing, adele, is blah, waht makes her interesting is her heartbreaking love songs, it gets boring, her voice is one toned. her music are slow, she has barely no emotion when she sings. adele <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<beyonce
