Jay-Z rooted for the home team while seated courtside at the New Jersey Nets vs. Atlanta Hawks game at the Prudential Center in Newark on Tuesday (Dec. 27). Despite the Nets’ loss, the father-to-be was happy to be among the first to get his feet in a pair of Nike Air Yeezy 2s, designed by Kanye West.

His tourmate is already working on a follow-up to the sneakers, which won’t go on sale to the public until next year. “Sketching Yeezi 3s… no I don’t want herb chicken or the cheese tortellini … I want to sketch,” tweeted ‘Ye from the plane.
