Rap-Up.com || New Music: Cassie – ‘King of Hearts’ [Demo]

Cassie kicks off 2012 by releasing a one-minute demo of “King of Hearts,” the first single from her oft-delayed sophomore album, due this year on Bad Boy. The electro-dance number, which Kanye West recently played at his first-ever DJ gig in London, boasts slinky vocals from the singer-model.

“You are the prince of charm, seduction is your art/ You’ll never play my love/ You’re just my king of hearts,” she effortlessly coos over the J2-produced beat.

People will hate on her regardless! She is not the strongest singer but if people actually listen instead of being negative… All her latest shit has been dope.. Every singer doesn’t have to be a powerhouse, there is many different styles and lanes

on the badboy/interscope website diddy confirmed that the album will come no later than july 2012 cassie will also be back on 106 this month to premiere the video… now i do agree with some of you like but seriously i cant judge until i one actually see the video and see how she promotes the song this seems like a 180 from r&b cassie and i think that she might have a place in the electro-pop genre

It sounds super techno-ey but pretty decent. I’ve always appreciated Cassie’s music though. We all know she doesn’t have the strongest voice but I think she knows what works for her and what doesn’t. Some of the songs on her debut albums (and wait, only album) were sick.

WOw she is drowned out in this song. Her best song to date is “Skydiver” She needs more material like that. Difficult to sing yet she made it sound so easy.
