Rap-Up.com || Lil’ Kim Gets Down to Drake and Lil Wayne’s ‘The Motto’ [Video]

Is Lil’ Kim moving past her beef with Young Money? The Brooklyn diva was seen dancing and mouthing the lyrics to Drake and Lil Wayne’s collaboration “The Motto” (1:46 mark) while co-hosting a party with Trina in Tampa, Florida, on Friday night. The Queen Bee was the center of attention as she shook her booty to the song and performed her hits “Lighters Up” and “Magic Stick.”

She made a comment at the end, which is hard to decipher except for the words “bitch ass ni**a.” On second thought, a reconciliation may not be happening anytime soon.

I am not a hardcore fan of Lil Kim, and I am not a hardcore fan of Nicki Minaj, but in my unbiased opinion, Lil Kim’s career is dead and gone. I don’t think any new school hip hop fans are going to buy her new album, and I don’t think any old school hip hop fans are going to buy her new album as well. Lil Kim hasn’t made an album in 5 to 7 years, and she has no new songs being played on the radio and TV right now. Instead of dissing Nicki Minaj, or anyone in YMCMB, Lil Kim needs to focus on getting her music career back on track, but even if Lil Kim came back, I doubt her new album will make any impact. If Lil Kim’s new album gets terrible critical reviews and sells terrible, it will be murder she wrote, it will be throwing dirt on something that was buried alive a long time ago. If Lil Kim prove me wrong, that would be great, but I think her time came and went.

Lil Kim will be just fine. It amazes me that people are so quick to count an artist out just because blog sites that bash Kim arent on her side. That’s not how you judge an artist’s calibar. Is this what hip-hop has come to? A bunch of arguing over artists that aren’t really worth it and who fail to bring their A-game to their records? Drake? Nicki? Wayne? Trina? Kim? *crickets*

None of them are currently making quality music with lyrical content that will go down as legendary – and none of them are preserving the true essence of hip-hop. SMH :(

Lol, haters continue to call Kim all kinds of names etc but yet they take time out of their “Life” to comment on her post, seems to me she has their attention more then their own fav. And so damn what if she was dancing to the song, ITS A SONG! You can enjoy the song and not like the artist, 99% of the time when RapUp makes a post about Kim she always becomes the most read story. People need to grow up! If you don’t like her then don’t come to the post, just as simple as that.

People say the same shit about Kim all the time “She’s ugly” “She’s a has been” “She needs to give it up”. Just STFU and worry about your fav.

And P.S for the people who keep saying Kim won her Grammy as a “Featured” artist. need to have a SEAT! __/ “Lady Marmalade” credits as a single from Lil Kim, Mya, Pink, and Christina EACH! All 4 of the girls played a part in making that song, including Missy Elliott who also got a grammy for it.

Lil Kim is the sh*t no matter how u cut the cake. She still gets love from people despite what her haters may say. People are waiting for her to bounce back. What it is is that Young Money thought they were going to just completely turn EVERYONE against Lil Kim and it didnt work. I see celebs showing Kim love all the time. She still is respected and thats all that matters. You can talk about Grammy and all these award shows. But KIM HAS PERFORMED AND WON A GRAMMY. She has been NOMINATED MANY TIMES for a GRAMMY also.
