NEEDSUMLUV

With Kanye West in her corner and Coachella on the horizon, Azealia Banks is quickly making a name for herself. Now the Harlem rapper-singer, whose video for “212” has racked up 2.5 million views, keeps the buzz growing with her latest release “NEEDSUMLUV (SXLND),” on which she sings over Machinedrum’s “SXLND” house beat and samples Aaliyah.

“‘NEEDSUMLUV’ is about being a guy’s other girl,” explained Azealia. “It’s about knowing that ur number #2, but still sticking around in hopes of becoming #1.”

The 20-year-old newcomer announced that she will be signing her label deal this week and recently shot a video for her next single “Liquorice” directed by Lady Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti.
