Rap-Up.com || Kanye West Headlines Australia’s Big Day Out Festival

Fresh off his appearance at Paris Fashion Week, Kanye West jetted to the Land Down Under for his headlining performance at the Big Day Out festival on the Gold Coast. Yeezy showed up 45 minutes late, attributing the delay to the rain when he finally took the Blue Stage. Clad in his Céline blouse and gold chains, he performed an epic set with ballerinas, explosions, and stadium anthems. His journey through Australia continues, with upcoming dates in Sydney and Melbourne.

He could play there.. but not New Zealand? this is why The Big Day Out’s final show failed here in New Zealand because of big acts dropping out.

@Antonio, the big acts didnt pull out, Big Day out couldn’t afford them. Kanye West cost nearly $600,000 per concert – cutting him from the Auckland concert was the only way for the event organisers to cut down on their losses they were expected to make. It sucks, but losing money is why the Big Day out has been cancelled in New Zealand.

@Antonio, The big acts didn’t pull out, the Big day out couldn’t afford them. Kanye West cost nearly $600,000 per show, and cutting him was the only way the organisers had any hope of making money (which they didn’t). Making loses is why the Big Day Out isn’t in New Zealand anymore.

This nigga Ye week consisted of recording in London with the likes of Mannie Fresh, Frank Ocean, Big Sean, Pusha T, Hit Boy, Jay Electronica, and Marsha Ambrosius.
Then this nigga went to Paris for fashion week and sat front row for majority of the shows…
Now this nigga in Australia headlining the Big Day Out festival… WOW!
