Rap-Up.com || Chelsea Handler Talks Breakup with 50 Cent, Slams Mariah Carey

Chelsea Handler is used to asking the questions, but the blonde comedienne was the one in the hot seat on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show on Monday (Jan. 23). The talk show host got candid when speaking about her relationship with 50 Cent and had some choice words for Mariah Carey.

“He’s actually a lot different than you would think. He’s really sweet,” Handler said of the hip-hop star, who she dated briefly in 2010. “I thought it was kind of amusing that I would even be with 50 Cent. I thought it was funny.”

Her Hollywood pals including Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were fascinated by their romance. “My friends all loved him, my friends fell in love with him,” she said. “They loved that I was dating him. They were like, ‘Chelsea, come on.’ They were both laughing really hard at it… I mean, everyone was.”

But things went sour after one of 50’s ex-girlfriends, rumored to be Ciara, appeared on her show. “We dated for a couple months and then we had a falling out,” she explained. “One of his ex-girlfriends was coming onto my show.”

According to Handler, 50 warned her that his ex still had feelings for him, but she didn’t want to hear it.

“It was just so juvenile, I was at work,” said Handler before hurling insults his way. “Whatever I called him was probably the worst thing you could say to a black person, short of calling him the N-word. I said you’re like a street person, basically, something along the lines of being a gangster. It was really, really offensive and I hung up and I’ve never spoken to him again.”

50 wasn’t her only victim. Handler also lashed out at Mariah Carey. “She’s worse than Elizabeth Taylor,” she said. “She’s just so ridiculous with her body. You see her one day and she’s like 50 pounds heavier or lighter. I mean, what is she doing? I don’t even understand what hemisphere people like that operate in. There’s nothing real about her and her Hello Kitty whatever…”

How exactly do those videos equate to Mariah being “fake”? They were intended to be something fun and definitely not meant to be taken seriously which so many seem to do. It’s the entertainment industry, it’s not that serious. Also, you know that there is something known as “acting” right. Artists do this when they create a music video, especially for a video like ‘Touch my Body’ and ‘It’s Like That’. Don’t be idiotic.

And I love how people judge someone that they do not know.

@XO till we overdose, I agree that her public image seems very fake, but realistically it’s important for her to maintain this image, even after having children, because it’s very lucrative as a business choice (and with the way she dresses her kids, obviously it’s working out for her financially). We have no way of knowing what she’s like at home, and it’s ridiculous for any of us, or for Chelsea Handler who probably understands the industry, to make assumptions based on a carefully crafted public image.

With that said, I still love Chelsea Handler.

Ok. I really like Chelsea Handler. She’s hilarious and all, but she really needs to stop disrespecting Mariah Carey. I mean clearly she doesn’t like her, but so what. I almost feel like it’s more personal than just making jokes about Mariah. I mean, she didn’t even have anything really to say. I do not understand why Mariah Carey is brought up by Handler. Mariah Carey is the new spoke woman for Jenny. I don’t remember Handler making such a big deal about Jennifer Hudson. Hudson lost more weight, was talked about more and is still talked about. She is on television more and even wrote a book about her new body and such. Mariah Carey is an always will be relevant. Mariah Carey regardless of if people like it or not will and is an icon. Her twenty-two plus years in the industry have left a new standards for future artist. Mariah Carey still sells millions of albums and sells out arenas. I don’t see why Handler is all on Mariah like this… Is it because Mariah hasn’t made an appearance on her show?
