Sean Paul adds some dancehall flavor on the remix to Melanie Fiona’s single “4 AM.” Hitmaker Rico Love turns the slow burner into a dance floor-ready jam, which will appear on the Canadian singer’s upcoming mixtape. Her sophomore album The MF Life will follow on May 8.

It’s an odd colloboration but it kinda works and the fast-paced beat works with the song. I love that picture of Melanie Fiona on the YouTube screen. I can’t wait for her new album, I just hope it doesn’t get pushed back another 45 times. I feel like her label is trying too hard to push her into the mainstream and dying for a hit when they should just release the album already. I hope the new album is instrumental like “The Bridge” was. It helps give her live performances so much energy…and she is an AWESOME PERFORMER.

Talk about fcking up a good song. Speeding it up and adding this dance beat takes all the emotion out the song, which was very visible at the slow pace. Remixes can be dangerous!!

I like it. This is definitely a good additional track to promote the single. If this dance/reggae/dub-step tinged remix gets this song some more popularity it would be great. Melanie Fiona is a talented artist and some more exposure has the potential to get her the recognition I think she deserves.

I think Drake should do a remix of the original version… I think he would fit the song perfectly! When I heard this song for the first time I thought it was actually written by Drake. LOL

It’s not a great remix. I think the song should have been left how it was.
