A$AP Rocky Meets His Namesake Rakim [Video]

A$AP Rocky got the surprise of a lifetime when he visited Angie Martinez’s radio show on Hot 97. During an earlier interview, the Harlem MC, whose real name is Rakim, revealed that he was named after the legendary MC.

“Both my parents [are] huge fans,” said the “Peso” rapper, adding, “I’ve never even met him.”

So the next time he stopped by her studio, Angie surprised him by bringing Rakim. Check out his reaction.
