New Music: R. Kelly – ‘Share My Love’![]() R. Kelly is feeling generous on “Share My Love,” the feel-good first single from his 12th studio album Write Me Back, due in May on RCA Records. “Now that we’re in this room, let’s do what we were born to do/ Populate, let’s get together, make the world better,” sings the R&B icon on the ’70s-inspired tune, which he wrote and produced. Kellz is also readying a sequel to his 1993 debut 12 Play entitled Black Panties and is writing original music for the upcoming musical Sparkle starring Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks.

I’m 22 and yet I own every R Kelly album, I grew up on him and I’ve seen his ups and downs as they happened. I feel this is a smart follow-up to Love Letter, by releasing this he’s reminding his loyal fans that he’s still original and not caught up in trying to stay “relevant”, a feel good record like this will do excellent at parties for the more mature crowd and keep his fan base happy, while his other album entitled Black Panties should hopefully do the same and draw in new fans. I’m just hoping that since R&B is back at its best since the 90′s and that some artist are starting to make songs with a 90′s feel to it I hope that Black Panties has songs that have a lot of urban soul, like TP2, R, R Kelly ….or sound like “Imagine That” or “I’m A Flirt” etc. But this is my personal opinion, don’t agree …then don’t comment, that’s pointless, may the readers of this enjoy their yr and remember …leave the drama behind and promote positive things in all aspects.

The only part about this song I don’t like is when he say, “Let’s make this world populate.” Come on kellz you know that was corny

@Kevo #TeamKimmyBlanco,
It’s funny and that’s what makes Kellz – Kellz. He loves saying random things in his songs. It’s kind of like his signature, lol.

This song is not it. I find it funny that everyone is so hard on the new cats, when their new music drop, but r Kelly drops this, and it is amazing? He has done this before.

@ILoveIt, WTF are you talking about? R. Kelly > every “new cat” out now.
What do you prefer grooving to stupid songs like “A$$” and “Rack City”? Please.
This is REAL R&B/Soul music.

This type of music needs to make a comeback. I love this song, reminds me of Barry White.
And also to the person that says only blacks will like this song, I am white and love this song. You can’t generalise.
