Rap-Up.com || New Music: Melanie Amaro

U.S. “X Factor” champ Melanie Amaro shows “Respect” to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, by sampling her 1965 classic on her debut single. The soulful dance recording will be featured in Pepsi’s Super Bowl commercial, airing during Sunday’s big game. The 19-year-old singer, who hails from the British Virgin Islands, will also star in the TV spot alongside Elton John.

What a voice – cant wait for the CD!
this song was a surprise though since we all fell in love with her ballads – but she killed this!
She has now earned the RESPECT she deserves, as Simon says.

Her voice is so powerful we need singers like her. I am so tired of the same artists who can’t hold a note in the limelight. Being with L.A. Reid she will be a megastar.

The beat reminds me of Chris Brown’s “Beautiful People” song last year. Her vocals though are top notch!!!
