Rap-Up.com || Jay-Z Performs ‘Glory’ at Carnegie Hall [Video]

Jay-Z painted Carnegie Hall blue in honor of his daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Backed by a 36-piece orchestra, the hip-hop mogul performed the Neptunes-produced dedication to his month-old baby for the first time at the famed New York City venue on Monday night.

“I didn’t think I was gonna make it through that one. That was tough,” said a dapper Jay, who was overcome with emotion as he rapped the personal lyrics.

He’ll do it again tonight, with a second show benefitting the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.

That was dope. Pharrell and Jay-Z make a great team. Kanye, Clark, Pharrell, & Just Blaze were Jay’s best producers.

@sbz i feel ya, i thought it was an intimate, personal song, but performing it makes it out like they are going to pimp this baby, which is unlike the private couple, but i guess they are going to give the world what we want and that is to see this baby, ……
