Rap-Up.com || Missy Elliott Returns in J. Cole’s ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ Video

Missy Elliott’s comeback begins. The trailblazing femcee was back in front of the cameras, joining J. Cole in the Colin Tilley-directed video for “Nobody’s Perfect,” the third single off his debut Cole World: The Sideline Story. Missy got dolled up in a spiked leather jacket, later posing with the Roc Nation rapper on the Los Angeles set on Thursday (Feb. 9).

“Thank u 4 having me @ ya video! Means a lot and I had lots of fun!!! Thank u again!” a grateful Missy tweeted to Cole.

“You the Queen! You blessed me tonight! Thank you,” he responded.

Missy’s first album in seven years, tentatively titled Block Party, is due this June.

It’s nice to see that one of today’s most buzzed about rappers thought outside the box and decided to feature a female rapper other than Nicki Minaj on their track. Nothing against Nicki because I love her, but I think this is a good way to kind of ease Missy Elliott back into the game.

Dope! Can’t wait to see the video. One of the best tracks on the album, IMO. And to think that Aaliyah was supposed to be on this track, be J.Cole opted for Missy instead since she’s not here anymore. Can’t wait for Missy’s return. It’s been too damn long!

These artist take half of their life to hone their skills. These younger artists don’t have nothing worth talking about, or singing.
